The Switch has been hacked to hell already. It's actually hacked due to an exploit found on the Tegra chip itself, which gives very low access. You can install CFW with a paperclip (jig is a better idea) and SD card if you have a non bootrom patched Switch. Nintendo has been giving out loads of bans in the last few months to people caught using CFW, playing downloaded games, hacking, etc. Their methods of detecting people hacking are really pretty good, it's just no one predicted gain...
It definitely didn't go along with how the industry was moving, but there were advantages to cartridges. Games like Ocarina of Time and Banjo Kazooie would have never happened on optical storage.
I am also disappointed; I love that game and would buy it just to support even though I've played it a million times and could easily emulate.
Even if that were true, is that any better than SE, a third party company having an exclusivity deal with Sony in the first place? Pots and kettles man.
Isn't that any game? There's still pvp, which can be played for fun. Even in games like WoW you could say that lol. "Oh, wait until you best the expansion and do the raids and max out your gear, then there's nothing to do!"
Most people don't even finish games. If you can drop hundreds of hours into something, it's worth the money. I don't tell people they're stupid for playing Madden every year lol.
Bad business decisions aside, you can't deny that Bungie has some of the best developers there have ever been when it comes to art direction and game play mechanics. Alot of the technical stuff they did with the early Halo games was unprecedented.
EA didn't make any of those games lol. Just published. Also, they shut down the studio who made Dead Space after forcing them to make a more action type game, which sucked. (Dead Space 3)
Destiny 2 at launch was woefully unfinished and had no vision. I blame time restrictions set by Activision. I thought the campaign was great but there was almost no endgame to be found after beating the story. That, and for some reason they listened when people bitched about the grinding from the first game, which endgame grinding is the only reason why people continue to play MMO games after reaching max level anyways lol.
That being said, I gave the new DLC a shot and it is really,...
I understand what you mean by not wanting the data skewed, but is it really? The numbers show that mobile gaming is actually the largest and most profitable gaming platform in the world. I don't like it either, but it's the truth.
I'd say the dudes from Kyoto try to focus more on what their home market wants first opposed to the likes of the Western market. It may not sell as well worldwide, but it's true to their tradition and Japan adores Nintendo lol. I can respect that.
First off, the article was saying that more than 50% of people in the US that play games do so one more than one platform. Second, console exclusive games make up such a SMALL percentage of the amount of overall games in existence. I could name hundreds of great multi-platform experiences.
Who cares lol. Sony is obviously a huge brand with some great games, but oh wait, Sony is dominating? Oh shit, I better throw my Switch in the trash and stop playing my Xbox with friends and family.
Mod your 3DS to run emulators and inject VC games! Best thing I ever did to my 3DS.
If there was any generation to own all the consoles, it was the Xbox/GC/PS2. Maybe also Dreamcast lol. There were so many good exclusives for each one that warranted purchase. My brother and I are close to the same age, so back then we hustled until we could afford all of it. Good memories. Honestly, that may have been the greatest gaming generation insofar as quality for the time, innovation and consistency.
Nope. Only Sony may exist in the future. All media and games will be Sony. Your food will be Sony branded. You will work at a Sony human processing plant and pray at the altar of Playstation. Sony. Sony. Sony.
(Yes, I agree with you lol)
Not even close, but definitely the most selling demographic unfortunately. Mobile makes bank.
Would be great for the multiplayer, but PC players would have no idea what's going on in the story if they haven't been following. A HUGE mistake with Halo 5 in general is that you could have played every prior game and STILL missed much of the backstory, as they incorporated and leaned on the expanded universe. I think that's a very large mistake in any game to do unless you have a lore section where you can read all the backstory. Why would anyone go out and buy books, watch sho...
That award goes to 7 lol. 9 was one of the crowning achievements from that console generation. 7 was a great game for the time, but there's just too many problems with it. For one, the translation was absolute shit. Yes, the PC version's translation was better, but no one played that lol. There's a reason why so many people were confused as to what the hell was going on in the game back then. Two, the battle system was too easily broken. Despite the lighter art and character desig...
XII was a really good game, it just suffered from lack of color and poor character design. But yeah, hasn't been a good single player FF since the PS2 era lol. LIke I said before, they went the way of Capcom and westernized the series to try to make big money, but lost the spirit of the franchise in doing so. The people who worked on FFXV's story should go back, play 9 and then feel ashamed of themselves.
They ban any users that they catch modifying the system in any way. It can go unchecked for a short time, but they ban in waves. The problem is there was an exploit found on the Tegra chip itself. You can gain access to a recovery mode to inject code on the older Switch models very, very easily. That and any other device using that chip. Luckily Nintendo does receive lots of user data and error reports (which are very common when using any kind of custom firmware) when users that hack connect...
