3DS can't push animations, high res and shadow effects like that. 240p screen lol. Not liking the art style doesn't mean that there wasn't still a great amount of work put into the small details.
On the Nintendo page it shows that the game is being published by Nintendo: https://www.nintendo.com/ga...
Interesting. I'm guessing Nintendo might have put up the money for the additional development, localization and marketing (which is part of the publishing that they're also paying for), so that "undecided" could very w...
He is correct; It shows right on the Nintendo page that it's being published by Nintendo: https://www.nintendo.com/ga...
Also, just remembered, a sequel could be tricky, as ALttP, Oracles, and LA are all the same Link. A story for him afterward would have to be a huge game, and very, very good. They'd definitely have to think long and hard about how it would fit into the timeline. In my head, I know how that would exactly, but hey, good luck getting that to Aonuma xD
So technically, A Link Between Worlds is already a sequel to Link's Awakening :P
I think we might hear more of it at E3. I feel like Nintendo didn't want to announce everything for the year during the Direct. They can focus and advertise a few games. Mario Maker 2, probably Luigi's Mansion 3, Bayo, Animal Crossing, with a good surprise at the end. Especially with Sony dipping out, MS and Nintendo probably want/need to make a good show.
SE is saying they're undecided if they will bring it to other platforms at all.
Link Between Worlds was a sequel, and used completely new gameplay mechanics. I imagine, by doing a remake, if it sells well, they can then create a sequel down the line. ALttP has sold double of what Link's Awakening ever did, and is always regarded as a masterpiece of a game, must-play, etc. I would say that LA isn't as well known in the mainstream, and needs more exposure to a modern audience before there's a sequel, especially so considering the story is a bit more involved th...
It's literally a tablet lol. All the hardware is enclosed in a device that weighs 10 ounces. People expect PS4 performance from the thing for some reason.
I feel like they only made that game to keep licensing rights. Doesn't help that Disney didn't want to use any characters they didn't have any movie rights to. They murdered their own comics as well just to get those rights back. God, I hate Disney.
Not really. The writing is on the wall that MS wants to create a closer relationship with Nintendo and gain some Japanese rapport.
Well there's Daemon x Machina as well to look forward to.
Tilt shift. They employed it heavily in Octopath Traveler as well, and and it very much gives an interesting aesthetic.
I knew it! Hell yes!
I found myself wondering how interesting and successful it would be if they integrated this as a free mode within Titanfall. As in, you could launch either game from within the other, and share cosmetics. I dunno, I just wish more people who like shooters gave Titanfall 2 a chance. Fantastic game.
It's pretty bad, when in retrospect, they would have probably been better off with MS continuing Halo.
I knew that game was broken when going with a knife and all perks got you top of the scoreboard every game. Awful experience.
The PS2 was a phenomenon. When DVDs were new, it was cheaper to buy a PS2 than a standard DVD player most of the time. Everyone I knew that had one, that was their first DVD capable hardware.
I mean, you could say that about any addiction lol. Doesn't mean it's true. People get addicted to the dopamine their brains release and can have all types of addictions.
Odyssey is probably one of the best games Nintendo has ever created lol. That game is incredible. As far as challenge, the post game content gets brutal.
There's still an audience for 2D Zelda games, and the last one came out over five years ago now. 3D Zelda games typically have a 4+ year development time (MM aside), and they're most certainly working on that as well.
