Just waiting for Amazon now, it's gonna happen.
Now this makes me finally want to jump into NMS. Hopefully it runs well enough in VR though on base models.
Totally different when it comes to emulation. Android is open source and has all the tools you need for development. People have to reverse engineer the Switch and program drivers, etc for emulation on it. It's come a long way already, but many of the devs say full-speed Gamecube emulation probably isn't happening any time soon, if at all.
I really like this game. It wasn't until where I started playing with a few friends that it really clicked and became enjoyable. It's more akin to a very artistic social experience than anything else. New, free content is always great.
And if it does get ported? I think that would be great for the franchise, and for Switch. I have a PS4, and would love to play the game on handheld. RPGs are great that way. I keep it in sleep mode and pick it up whenever I want to play for a bit.
Took a look at your comment history. If you're not just unabashedly trolling, you should reflect on your hobbies and general attitude. It's not healthy, and is indicative of unhappiness if you enjoy upsetting others. Most trolls are miserable people, and studies have shown much evidence for this. Have a nice day.
Read this article from last year: https://www.theregister.co....
A jouranlist met with Atari's COO last March, and they basically showed him a 3D printed mock-up of a console. The controller was even fake, and they couldn't even answer his questions about what kind of hardware it was intended to be running on. Atari claimed the article was fraudulent afterward, but everything about this...
I don't think people realize that in fifteen years or so the way people live will look like something straight out of a science fiction movie.
Glasses with AR and VR, voice commanded. "Launch game, controller setup 1." Bam, virtual controller materializes in your hand and a screen appears in front of your face. Or, "VR activate", and your VR OS/hub launches from there. Technology is going to be insane in twenty years.
When is reach being integrated within the Xbox version though?
Halo 3's online player base has been very healthy lately. It's great. People are getting sick of other shooters.
The single camera shot throughout GoW is BRILLIANT. I can't imagine how much work that took to get the whole game to flow how it does. Excellent cinematography and direction, fantastic game.
Welp, there goes my wallet for the rest of the month.
Over 80 percent of Americans live in urban areas, and 73 percent have broadband access. That number isn't going down either. People in remote areas are simply going to be left behind if it's not profitable to cater to them unfortunately.
The thing is, over 80 percent of Americans live in urban areas, and that number is still rising. These companies just aren't going to care about the people they can't reach if they'll still make more money without them.
Project Stream worked incredibly well. It was pretty amazing.
Same thing that's going to happen with Google and Amazon. They're going to invest heavily into the technology, people are going to use it, and it's going to change business models across the world. Lots of people denied digital distribution in the recent past, and still do, but look at how well it's done.
Because in six years or so there will be cheap, affordable laptops where they're basically full streaming devices, and the Windows OS, storage and other services (XCloud, Gamepass, Spotify, Netflix, etc) will all be part of a subscription, compatible with 5G networks. Like Virtual Reality, this is new technology in its baby steps. Whenever you see new things like this, imagine where it will be in 15-20 years. Probably connected to smart glasses you can wear that overlay AR, can switch in ...
I am absolutely stoked about that.
It's getting there though, these are the first steps. I guarantee that PS5 will have a huge focus on VR.
