I don't think there are many left in Bioware who worked on games like KOTOR or the first two Mass Effects. Blame EA.
The Switch sold out in about 15 minutes, as did the initial wave of Xbox One X pre-orders as well. Demand for technology is high, and it's not easy to keep up with that, especially with sclapers having it so easy these days. Even if the first wave was a few million, I'm sure it wouldn't have taken very long.
I'd wager someone starting off would have no idea what's going on, considering the story spans across PS2, GBA, DS, 3DS, etc...
If they do, they should probably have a mode with a very comprehensive summary of the story so far. It's convoluted, to say the absolute best, and had been stretched across over 4 different pieces of hardware.
I'm sure there are people here who would argue that nothing should ever be released on Xbox xD
The Bioware you knew is no more.
Wii U and 3DS both took about 6 months to launch the virtual console. I expect it will be soon.
I'd wager the places where they're easy to find are possibly rural with lower population and interest.
Otaku is right, you'll be hard pressed to grab one any time near holiday season most likely. It's hard enough for many to find one even now.
I actually didn't realize the beta for PoE was up, thanks! Signed up, hopefully will get my code.
So what happens if this gets canceled too? I haven't turned my Xbox on in weeks...
Although, to be fair I've been working 65 hour weeks and don't don't much time for recreation lately.
And do what exactly? This is a turn based tactical shooter. Video games are toys in essence.
The Megaman X collection was amazing.
Perhaps with games that have analog shoulder controls, could potentially implement using the gyro function of the joycons? Use motion to signify level of pressure by holding the button and tilting the controller up or down slightly.
Paper Mario! Eternal Darkness, Tales of Symphonia, Rogue Squadron...the Gamecube was a fantastic console.
Imagine the Switch a year from now. Manufacturing problems have been solved, Pokemon, Monster Hunter and Mario are playable, and it's also a portable Nintendo 64 and Gamecube machine (Hopefully). If Nintendo does well by us (fans and consumers), they're going to hit it out of the park.
Which is a shame, certain titles need it. I bought Splatoon 2, but I can't justify paying $60 for Arms despite my curiosity.
Really hoping it drops to around $40 at some point.
In my own personal opinion, one of the best games I've ever played.
It's pretty much a spiritual successor to the Megaman Zero series.
The updated version of this game just released last year, and sold well. The VR version has yet to release. There is still interest in the game.
