A ten isn't saying it's perfect, a 10 is calling it a masterpiece in game design.
Yeah, but Gears sucks (love Halo though), and Mario and Zelda don't. Most game developers look up to and got into the industry because of Nintendo designers/programmers/etc.
By that logic no game on a handheld console was ever worth a 10 because home consoles were capable of much better. Actually, by that same logic I could say that no Xbox or PS4 games are worth a 10 in 2017 because a high end gaming PC trumps what they're capable of by miles. You have to take into consideration the capabilities and strengths of the hardware. I'm glad graphics aren't all that important to me, otherwise I'd never be able to enjoy indie games. The obsession with vi...
I don't think any of these game critics who write professionally are children man. We're never too old to let the kid inside us live on for a little longer.
Chronicles is one of my favorite games of all time though. I am hoping for an HD release on the Switch.
No chill.
After this holiday, I don't think 3rd party developers are going to be able to ignore it. They'll have to question what kind of audience there is for their games, or what types of games they should release on the Switch, but they're going to want software on it.
Same developers man, I'm sure they'd find that insulting considering how much time and effort went into developing Zelda. That game is a master class in game design.
Why would they not? They have a huge game already completed that hadn't nearly lived up to its sales potential. It makes far more sense to update the presentation, add in DLC and a few new characters and charge full price again opposed to taking years to develop a new game, which would need a new director anyways, as Sakurai wants to be done with it. He claimed 4 almost killed him lol.
It would be fantastic if they add a couple new characters to the inevitable Smash port. Damn, my life is going to be over when I buy that game again..
Anyways, that's what I imagine the adapter would be for. Bringing GC games over and requiring an adapter and separate controller to play them would be asinine. Any games we end up getting would probably be remasters with reworked controls.
I enjoyed Destiny 2, it's just that I beat it, including the raid. What else is there to do? The pvp isn't as good as games like Overwatch or Halo 5, so I return to those if I'm feeling online shooters. There are too many games these days to stick with just one. My backlog is already impossible to complete in one lifetime.
I have not for one moment regretted buying my Switch, man.
This is true, but the game mentioned is not even 8 months old yet, and available on the Switch as well.
I think it might have been worst company, period, if I remember correctly xD
As gamers, I think we should be supporting the industry we care about. When piracy runs too rampant, studios suffer. I honestly have no problem with emulation of games from generations back, where there's very little profit to be made by a company, seeing all physical copies have been produced years back. Stealing games that have been out for less than a year though, or in a current gen, leaves a poor taste in my mouth.
Add in handheld hardware.
For example, look at CoD over the last few years. They find it more profitable to say it's going to be different every time, to trust them that it won't be like last year, and then sink hundreds of millions into advertisements while handing out the same crap. It will work every time.
I've been thinking about that, and what if Nintendo wants people to avoid using it for incredibly long sessions like that, due to overheating and battery life? Batteries only have so many charges before their capacity dwindles.
We're seeing a crash of sorts. Companies don't want to invest the money into proper single player, due to the demand of such high graphics by mainstream consumers that the ROI isn't worth it to big companies like EA. The bigwigs don't care about how good video games are, they care about how much money the average person will spend.
It's funny, most people I've ever met worried about looking childish were also some of the most immature and insecure.
