Or just, you know, don't purchase loot boxes.
If you think about it, we're actually paying less for video games these days due to inflation. Super Nintendo games in 1993 were still up to $60 or more (Chrono Trigger I believe was more), which would be over $100 today, despite having development costs (not including manufacturing/advertisement) that were fractions of what we see today.
That's like saying that Netflix was the beginning of the end for the movie industry. Technology advances and industries adapt. In fifteen years the only gaming devices will probably be phones using services and auxiliary hardware. Not that I like the idea of it, it's just inevitable.
Fans of video games in general should be celebrating. It's an indie title. If you don't like and support independent developers, you're really not doing the industry any favors. This shows people that with hard work, skills and dedication you can bring a vision to fruition and have it be successful and enjoyed. HZD had the benefit of millions of dollars in development and advertising given by corporations. Indies are no exaggeration, a blessing to the gaming industry.

Sounds totally legal and also a great way to support the game industry going forward.

I have an original Xbox One, and I'd much rather have a PS4 Pro than the new Xbox right now, simply due to games.
Nintendo just announced that they're selling more software during a launch period than they ever have since tracking began in 1995. Meaning so far, it's performing better than N64, Gameboy Advance, GC, DS, 3DS, Wii, Wii U did within the same launch time period. That hardly seems like a shrinking base, does it?
I had over 50 games on the Wii, and all of them were fantastic. Lots of underrated titles too. Xenoblade Chronicles is still the best RPG I've played in the last 10 years.
Microsoft screwed up pretty badly with the design of the hardware itself, which is why they have had to move in a different direction and play to their strengths. It will be very difficult to recover the ground they've lost this gen to Sony.
Dragonball FighterZ is doing it right. That game looks amazing.
The UK likes soccer and Playstation, who knew xD
He is a great actor too.
US is a strong market for the Switch, and we really don't give a crap about soccer for the most part. I probably wouldn't play it if it were free on any console lol. It's very possible that these games will perform better sales wise.
Lol, "Pokemon Trailer."
Horror games are mostly considered a niche genre.
I can guarantee that the presentation will be superb, and mostly, it will be FUN TO PLAY.
Realistically, we're looking at :
Super Mario 64
Ocarina of Time
Mario Kart 64
Donkey Kong 64
Star Fox 64
Majora's Mask
Mario Party 3
Super Smash Bros
Paper Mario
Pokemon Snap
Yoshi's Story
Kirby 64
Congrats man! I hope you enjoy the hell out of it.
Well above the Wii U, the software sales on the Switch in the US are the best that Nintendo has seen since 95: http://nintendoeverything.c...
It was a product of its time, and also sits at 92 on metacritic. Critics loved the game when it came out.
