There is no "opinion" to argue about a game having many common story and action cliches as dozens of other projects have had or how little variety it has in its own single player. It's just common sense. Like the content all you want. It's great to you, but that doesn't mean it has originality or variety in itself.

An "actual" sale?

And, Gears of War was terribly generic and repetitive after the first game. But, I do think Microsoft had a better sale, but it's not like they have a good selection for games as old as PS1 to chose from anyways.

Seriously, stop your less than amateur analysis' of technology.

PSNow is made of PS3 units and is MADE for streaming PS3, PS2, PS1, etcetera. MADE for it.

Azure cloud is STANDARD server hardware, on a large scale, not at all suited for processing physics, lighting, and anything that is heavy on hardware at all. It would take multiple units to dedicate them to any individual console just to provide anything the console couldn'...

Yea, because to sell "millions and millions" it's not like it takes time, and it's not like PS4 currently doesn't have many appealing games in Japan.

When you make up number, try to speak for all parents in countries that don't have access to a freaking game console, and talk about "sonyboys" you basically shouldn't be taken seriously.

Where do you get 1 or 2 million, when PS4 is only current...

They have always had that potential. But, they have never been ready.

They never come up with these things first. They always follow after others. When it comes to their software they develop it with money in mind rather than waiting until solid ideas are brought forth, and they also ditch their past OS's on PC when the code is almost identical for any updates.

I have a 1600x900 17.3 inch(diagonally) laptop screen. I see a clear difference for in game graphics when changing from 720p to 900p. It increases just about everything overall. Smoother shadows, more detailed textures, further view distance, etcetera. Not because it actually increases the quality of those settings but because resolution just allows you to see everything more clearly without blurring and pixelating them.

Phil Spencer is a figurehead that is interested in XBox. He is still mainly for PR; we all know how Microsoft loves to pay hundreds of thousands to their public representatives, which typically never actually know what they're talking about.

His main job is to look good and to oversee things. He isn't actually that involved in individual things. Microsoft isn't a free company. They love to control everything. Good luck to him to get creat...

What is wrong with you?

You can go through NVidia and AMD software to force increased antialiasing and antisotropic filtering to give more clarity and less jaggies but you can't upscale textures. To do that you go through the game configuration file or get a mod. This also makes no sense to do with consoles.

PC only upscales if you at less than your monitors native resolution. Console don't upscale in the same fashion, but 360 ...

@ All the nay-sayers trying to say the PS4 only sells more because of more countries available..

Then why is PS4 selling better in all the countries X1 is available in?

The extra countries PS4 is available in all don't add up to even one of the bigger countries. They are really small countries.

Microsoft knows that demand is low in those extra countries that PS4 is in. Otherwise they would ship consoles over to those countries. They hav...

I think the new Harvest Moon game will be there as well, since it recently had a video posted about some of its new features.

I have no idea why Capcom hasn't explored revamping their Breath of Fire onto DS or 3DS. JRPG's are huge on handhelds. Instead after a decade of waiting they decide to make a lame looking mobile spin-off. I'm so ready for more RPG's.

My laptop runs servers and Minecraft, with heavily modded clients, very well. I am not sure about an old PC capable of that though.

The next-gen consoles are very capable of more players than my laptop, because they are a little better than my laptop, allow more optimization, and have a lighter weight OS.

I think if the worlds are going to be limited they could at least put a "fog of war" on the area beyond the world limit and let you build some k...

"I have a friend who would constantly say no every time we offered him some, then eventually he said yes". - Lukas_Japonicus.

How is that not peer pressure? Peer pressure is giving in to a consistent push from others to do something. It doesn't matter if it's shoving it in their face or not. You offered it to him, all as his friends, several times and he had no interest in it. Of course he would likely eventually give into it. He already had a choice. He cho...

And even on PC 4GB's is the most people use even for some of the heaviest video games.

Take into account that a console has room for optimization and a light weight OS so you don't need as much RAM. The 4GB is extremely feasible.

Having 32GB's isn't necessary whatsoever, just because people have it doesn't mean it is being used for anything. It's only ever useful for heavy video editing and CGI work. Othe...

I do know a LOT about it. I've done the research and I already know how servers work. Don't assume.

Azure cloud has zero graphics capabilities per server and requires many just to render simple scenery.
Azure cloud has many different tiers of hardware set ups with different performance outputs.
Azure cloud has a mix of Windows and Linux OS'.

With any basic understanding of computer hardware you can easily tell the capabilities for...

I just wish Steam had a feature to add games you see on the store to a list that will basically remove the game from any searches so you don't keep pulling up the same game unintentionally. I search for RPG's often and keep going through the same things I'm not interested in. And, I'm tired of the back button resetting how many pages I have gone through on specials, most popular, new releases, etcetera. There also needs to be a tab system.

I think they should have waited until Borderlands from Telltale came out and had Borderlands 2 as well as the first episode of the Telltale game in the bundle.

Also, the new Vita model came out not too long ago. They probably just want to try and clear older stock that hasn't yet sold or preparing for something new.

But, this is kind of an odd situation with the Vita. From this article it seems like they just didn't prepare for recent Vita demand.

It's good for regular cloud stuff. It's not a high performance super cloud capable of actually processing heavy graphical workloads to users on non graphics capable server hardware, let alone doing it on even the modern "high speed" connection. It also will not be plausible in the long term as constructing new GPU based server hardware will bring no profits that the console, video game sales, or even Live subscription will pay for, and it will easily be outdated and turned i...
