KillZone:ShadowFall single-player runs 60fps/1080p. The multiplayer runs 60/fps 1080p, using a trick to obtain a native 1080p resolution so they can run at a more reliable framerate to ensure a smooth multiplayer experience. The outputted image is still native 1080p. It renders half the image but runs a buffer between those lines to render a full 1080p image. There is no debating that it is 1080p. So, don't argue, and the singleplayer is native 1080p anyways. It isn't a "cheap&qu...
@Billmadeagate
And.. multiple developers and benchmarks have confirmed PS4 is stronger. Even the PS4 is stronger in CPU power, despite X1 having a higher clock speed when the CPU's are supposed to be the same, showing the X1 has a more bloated OS slowing it down on top of the overall weaker hardware.

This article should be on Techspy.. The PS5 could have anything. The PS5 could have liquid cooling, the PSVITA 2 could have a flexible OLED screen, the PS9 could have real-time quantum computing, etcetera.. Just because you tag on a consoles name doesn't make it actually console related, but I guess that is how modern "journalism" works to try and drive in hits. Write about a technology that has nothing to do with something else, and write about "what ifs", "could...
Can not wait. I've always wanted a wrap-around display or three monitors for my PC just for racing games but this will be even better. Though, I guess you can't peek out of the corner of your eye to check your sides. You will have to turn your head but so long as it quickly tracks your head movement that is no problem at all.
They are both forms of expressive media. It's kind of difficult for there never to be movie-like games. And, obviously you never have to play these games if you honestly don't like games like Uncharted and Metal Gear Solid which have pushed cinematic and movie-like games. It's preference.
@tee_bag242
It's not that it is cinematic due to the 30fps. It is that cutting down the framerate allowed more resources to make the graphics and game itself more cinematic. People keep looking at the surface and framerate and resolution itself without even thinking anything else is involved.
@DevilOgreFish
"1080p" means native. If a game is 720p then the game is 720p, no matter if the console upscales it to a higher resolution, the actual content is at that resolution. What the console supports is different form what the game actually features.
KillZone: ShadowFall itself produces a native 1080p image. So, I would consider it native 1080p no matter what trick they used to get it to that native resolution.
And the "online infrastructure and cloud computing" are not at all exclusive to Microsoft platforms and have been done for years. It's traditionally called "dedicated servers" when used for online gaming and Microsoft's servers, while a huge cluster of servers, individually are just average units and it's not like they are capable of anything more impressive than anything the competition can and has already done.
They have said that many times and people still blindly believe all the failed promises they have made to PC and consoles.
Only if they want to try and push Windows 9. The only reason Halo 2 ever launched on PC was to push early Vista support, and we know how terrible Vista was. Users waited 3 years for a PC version only to get a Vista only version that because of Vista's mass negative publicity they made it okay to play Halo 2 on XP with a patch.
I think they need to have an open world and definitely an arena game mode that you access by visiting the coliseum.
While I'm not a fan of the first one I have full belief that it has an awesome foundation and a lot of potential to explore and I hope that the developers stop holding themselves back in gameplay just because they want it all to look pretty.
@UnHoly_One
Yes, they changed it and it's still similar to XMB, with a Windows 8 style to it, still more cluttered and more menus to go through. And, using words to represent sections makes it slower to recognize compared to symbols. This is why symbols are used for dozens upon dozens of products and signs. XMB uses symbols and it's easier to recognize where to navigate when symbols are there to guide you.
@UnHoly_One
Except, the PS3 UI is substantially easier for anyone to get right into and know where to navigate. It is much more simple, less cluttered, and has less menus to go through. Also, the X360 UI is a ripoff of the XMB. All they did was reverse the menu navigation on the X and Y axis and then they plastered more menus and clutter onto it. They also make you read the words for what section which is slower than using familiar symbols like the XMB does.
I know I have replied to you before, and I do not wish to have to dig up my past comments to find your old account that clearly lost bubbles because of your ignorant lack of spewing out the same fake information over and over.
It's a laptop CPU. Get over it.
No on cares that PC hardware destroys console hardware. If people want high end hardware then clearly they are going to get a PC. This is common sense that only ignorants latch onto in order to try an...
@badz149
"Exclusive console debut".
Normally if a game is an exclusive it is "Only on PlayStation".
And, they generally never say "exclusive console debut" to announce a timed exclusive coming to other platforms later on. So, the wording is either just for the sake of better words or "exclusive console debut" means more than that and is probably saying it is a console exclusive, on one console and PC, ...
@above
None of that means anything here. I'm talking about how the console itself was just barely not profitable for months and now it is profitable in itself.
PC is not dying. You kind of just destroyed your integrity. PC has been steadily rising since PS2 era. It's still not as big as consoles worldwide but it certainly is a huge community that keeps growing.
@kalkano
In FF15's defense. It used to be Final Fantasy: Versus XIII. Which was a serious spin off that I think they said was still in the same universe as FF13 except there is no affiliation with any of the characters of FF13 involved. So, it wasn't exactly a standalone new entry in the main series, despite how ambitious it is.
If it has many similarities to Final Fantasy despite the gameplay difference I still consider it a Final Fantasy title, but...
@wheresmymonkey
No. In the beginning it was like $388 to manufacture, not including labor and shipping costs. It was losing a small amount per console but a few months ago had become profitable.
You assume that those 51% percent shares are up for sale.. Lol. If you could simply buy them then no company would be safe.
@trenso1
He didn't say FF13 wasn't Final Fantasy. He said even if you set it apart as a different game it still isn't good on it's own, and I agree just because of how linear, repetitive, cliche, and milked the franchise is. It's like a generic big budget anime.
