Look at everyone changing the narrative to focus on what's good with XBox and what good future things to expect, despite the constant failures, overpromising, and negatives they've brought to the market. They never want to compare apples to apples. Compare the first party titles that have actually released and then compare who has a consistent release schedule and heavy hitters under their belt. Key phrase - under their belt. Wait and see what MS' new acquisitions deliver under th...

Comparing it to a failed console. Maybe play devils advocate on your statements before thinking it's a good argument. Wii U destroyed itself by no 3rd party support, a restrictive gimmick, market confusion, and not many console selling games.

So awkward every time people think Mattrick made all those decisions. He was pushing Microsoft's agenda. That's it. Looking at those interviews in hindsight it actually seemed like his blunt responses of the new anti-consum...

@DOMination-

Where did you get your info?

He was a general manager for their European studios. AKA, Lionhead and Rare. In 2008, he became General Manager of MS Studios as a whole. Shortly after, 2010 Kinect released. Guess who pushed Kinect hard on these studios,.. making those prior european studios solely focused on Kinect titles? Phil. It's no coincidence that he swayed them towards abandoning core gamers and MS agreed to hand him the reigns on h...

Phil has been in charge of the games since Kinect released, surprise, he was a big reason for Kinect being pushed and was promoted to Director of Games during its release. Way to blame the pandemic in the last year for something spanning a decade. The dude has no idea what he's doing. MS just keeps him around because fans think he's alright. He's really just doing what MS tells him. Investment into the cloud is all Microsofts decision. Just as entering the gaming division at all w...

They already said that Halo Infinite will be a game akin to Destiny in that it will be updated over many years. They said it will be a their focus for the next 10 years and receive content, updates, and continue to be built upon. There won't be any sequels during that time, according to them.

I love when people try and make others look crazy for their own lack of research on the topic.

Maybe I'm blind.. but, this still doesn't tell us that there is any delay. Everyones already shouting that there is certainly a delay. This doesn't mean anything till the estimated release is pushed back to 2022. That's why 2021 was already a broad answer. Maybe they had an internal guesstimate that put a feasible 2021 release date even with a one or two month delay. We don't know till they tell us 2022. And obviously I'm not telling everyone what will or won't hap...

"over-simplistic". I love that someone above also called it "convoluted".

You must not understand the purpose of a UI. It's supposed to be simple, easy to navigate, sleek, and not adorned by too much on screen that doesn't deal with the current activity. Sony hasn't gone wrong with their UI ever since the XMB. MS however has worked and reworked and rereworked time and time doing entire revamps and UI replacements on the same console many tim...

I've always wanted a MMO with similar gameplay mechanics as League or Diablo. The issue for me is that most MMORPG's have cookie cutter content and making us grind. Imagine having this MMO and playing your characters in a PVP MOBA game mode

There's a game called Lost Ark that fits is Diablo-esque and looks amazing, but probably won't ever come to the west

You don't think that after losing a family member.. that he thought about the studio he left behind that was like another family to him?

The New 3DS was so great when it came out. Doubled framerate of some games, better graphics and resolution. A few games need a performance buff. And, to push gaming forward on the platform we will need a performance boost eventually anyways. It needs to focus on that as well as network and QoL features. I love my Switch and asking for an upgrade isn't a negative thing. Some people get defensive over anything being said other than praise for their platforms though.

I don't think the portable aspect would mean anything realistically aside from a wireless VR. Yeah, I could bring it places, but VR needs a clear space for use, so your living room will still be the place to go. You can have a wireless VR without a portable system though so it's not something only the Switch could get.

I am not actually a big fan of room scale VR. I enjoy it but I just wish more VR games would expect you to be seated and looking just to take advanta...

Hardware revisions and improvements come along to all forms of hardware. A huge boost in performance can be given in a Switch Pro.

I don't think you understand. This topic keeps getting brought up as if it will be a thing.

The way you word your comment leans towards assuming that they will do this. Horizon is the only example you have. Death Stranding was developed by a third party that negotiated a PC release from the start.

Yeah, I'd get em on PC as well if I could. Just don't know why this is being brought up.

Maybe don't talk before assuming that recouping is that easy. A 60 usd game can sell 10 million and make 600 million usd, before tax, shipping, development costs, marketing costs, percentage cuts to certain parties, etcetera. Even without all those costs, it will take well over a decade for them to recoup the costs of what they spent. For you guys, recouping costs isn't the same as simply making money elsewhere, lol. The point of an investment is for the return.. from the investment. ...

"@ocelot07 - we know that their track record hasn't been great with releasing their exclusive offerings on PC, but that doesn't mean it can't change at any point."

We know you want to bring up useless information to make believe that the positives of one console aren't that great because of nonexistant scenarios. But, that doesn't mean you have any valid point or reason to keep perpetuating the same statements.

Okay, throw away account. You know you're not credible and have to resort to immature comments on side accounts just to get your anger out.

Those two statements don't contradict each other. There can be more than one reason to make a decision. That's kind of the point of business. To look at the bigger picture. The bigger picture isn't just how to make money from multiple angles, but how to present the product. They not only saw ...

Yes, MS cheaped out on not offering rechargeable Duracell's with a charge and play kit included. But, wanted to give better throw-aways to their customers. How kind of them to invest more into their disposables while selling their partners branded accessory. A very thoughtful and optional approach that wasn't justified with a PR statement as "options". More "options" for MS revenue. Save a buck on manufacturing costs. Make a coupl...

" You don't want to use AA batteries buy a battery pack".

"Buy".

So, you're just blindly accepting PR for why they cheap out on the controller and then hand them more money for a benefit competitors have at the same price, with already far more advanced controllers.

They should include a charge and play kit and sell extras separately. If swapping batteries like that is so much of a big deal then you stil...
