They did release PS5 only games that take advantage of the console. Though not as big as we would have liked. Regardless, they didn't shove scalability down our throats and make it sound simple and effortless and then release games with their design and feature sets held back by last gen.
Their point still stands even with backwards compatability included. It would make no sense not to include compatability when the system is the same architecture. You don't *buy* ...
@JayRyu
Not really. But, they treated XBox how they treated PS gamers previous gens by doing the same things ever since developers were less inclined to take XBox's side since the XOne reveal. Both platforms do this. Now one is very aggressively trying to withhold third party games from one platform altogether yet preach inclusion and breaking down walls.
Those are poor examples. Those games had contractual obligations in place. They can't just sa...
No no no. We don't want any walls in gaming and we are making sure to tell you this. We want everyone to be included! It just has to be in our ecosystem!
@DailyNews
I never said it was bigger than MineCraft. I said it was the biggest name next to MineCraft. This can be more, less, and even same. The gist of that statement is just that they are both very evenly popular from word of mouth and social media and are both megaton IP's in popularity. But, according to Christopher, seems like it may indeed be much bigger again.
Also, how are you gonna say MC is bigger and then say CoD has multiple games. While...
CoD is the biggest name in gaming next to MineCraft. It's the prime example but far from the only reason. What a long line of text that misses the whole point.
Either way. That is not wiretapping. I was wondering how and why GameStop would access customers phone lines.
@darthv72
What did I just say in response to your own words? They pay for something else entirely for CoD. Something also much cheaper than advertisements or content. You said they can just continue paying like they already have. It's not the same because it's payment for something else entirely, and it's not going to be comparable in how much would be paid for a deal like that.
MS also said they don't agree with exclusives before. And, th...
@darthv72
They were paying for promotional material. Not to get the game on their platform. That costs more money and is basically not worth it in a business sense unless you are struggling to release games. It's also kind of ridiculous to think they should give in to a company buying out so many major properties just to have access to properties they already had on their system. How are people really going to try and casually say they just need to pay MS rather than po...
@gangsta_red
Why are you dodging the question? Telling Sony to negotiate more time for something like it's their fault if it doesn't stay multiplatform. Not how it works when strong-armed. Also, keyword was "eventually taken away". Respond directly. Over-explaining and not responding appropriately doesn't make good argument. The article is right here. Don't explain to me what it says, especially when I have not said otherwise.
T...
@brewin
That's not how it works. It's not profitable just because you quickly multiplied some numbers.
Those numbers don't tell you how many are trial users or how many took the deal to upgrade existing years of service for a dollar, which is basically a free pass. They also don't say which tier they have. Regardless, any regular full priced sub is still not profitable for them.
GamePass has been bleeding money. They...
@brewin
And, who popularized it and heavy handed all the tactics?
Also, a sizeable expansion such as MMO expansions, Morrowind, and Oblivions expansions are quite fair. Not a good point. Expansions are typically separated from the DLC term, as DLC is commonly just referring to minor things like skins, quick unlocks, and other various content that easily could have been cut and sold separately.
@brewin
You're really trying too hard to act analytical. Business and worth rely on hard facts. Not huge stretches. CoD as a brand will suffer inevitably. XBox is hoping to have everything eventually be under its services regardless of platform. They are acquiring everything to boost themselves, of course. That's business. But, this in turn is a detriment to all those things that have been locked down into their ecosystem. They will lose sales, potential fans, exist...
@gangsta_red
So.. it's Sony's fault for CoD eventually being exclusive? Not the person buying a major third party publisher/developer and eventually taking multiplatform away?
"which is more than what Sony offers for their games they keep off of other platforms.".. so.. now the argument that their games are coming to PC is gone?
Phil did nothing to save XBox. In fact, he has been behind a multitude of the poor decisions XBox was in charge of under Microsoft. He only made it to his position because everyone else was the fall guys for simply enforcing Microsoft's policy.
Phil was in charge of Europe gaming divisions. Under his guidance we had what were originally legendary gaming studios become shadows of their former selves(Lionhead and Rare). They were then made to focus on Kinect games in 200...
They don't let their TV/Movie ventures cloud their PlayStation development though. PlayStation still keeps doing its thing and delivers products done right. Always online isn't a console limitation still. They never said developers can't do it. They gave devs that choice.
Of course they mocked game sharing, and how did they adopt this? Do you remember that game sharing on XBox One was going to be limited on physical purchases? Sony mocked that XBox had a system...
I feel like they are just trying to deter some devs/publishers from being bought
@darthv72
So, are you saying inflation doesn't affect import/export fees?
But, XBox controllers are at a much lower tier in terms of bang for your buck. The elite controller from the XBox controller is a much bigger jump than the DualSense is.
Well, making it so that people can assign whatever gender to ones that have already chosen theirs per the writers intentions is definitely giving an eff.
Do you even know Microsoft's past experience with everything aside from Windows? They have bad management skills lol. Windows was mostly just them in the right place at the right time and it's just that kind of product that once it became standard we can't realistically break free without the impossible scenario of everyone cooperating and taking a large setback to get new systems and software in place.
