@Lifexline
You glossed over the specifics of that question. Then you seem to be overly reactive about it and insulting.
Wasn't talking about content that exists and is paid to be excluded from other platforms. We are talking about content that received funding to be made in the first place from one platform and thus was made only for that platform. That isn't anti-consumer. It's anti-consumer if you find out they are developing content and th...
@Lifexline
So, if I come up to your conpany that makes a product for people, and I pay you extra to change your product for me and select others, is that anti-consumer or excluding others?
If I simply handed you a cheque and said not to give this to other people that is one thing, but if I pay you extra to make some content for a game that you otherwise weren't then that's another. MS couldn't come in and also make an offer for their own exclusive...
Accessible seemlessly from different locations, less manual saving and back ups, work from home, less expense on physical hardware and maintenance on their end, easier access to dev kits rather than having to buy and bring one to everyone that needs it, easier scaling and additions to your work place.
It makes a lot of sense for most work places that deal with any kind of server and need a tight community for ensuring things are handled and saved properly. I am curious if t...
Sales through to consumers or to retailers?

You guys are being too reasonable and logical. I for one can't ever accept that companies are entities that are also affected by the economy and such. I will disregard how rich and well delivered their first party titles are and how we often have games to choose from every year.
All PS5 games? Don't say according to Herman Hulst. That isn't what he said. Just say from your understanding. At least you can be wrong in your judgement rather than blatantly lie.
@Lightning77
Phil's management of game development since being Director of Games in 2010, and his poor management of Europe devs years prior. Game development has been stagnant and declining since the golden years of 360 and the decline has started exactly around the time Phil kept moving up and eventually became fully in control of game development. This is still continuing to this day. Halo management has been a huge embarrassment, and just like Phil has falsely claim...
They aren't anti-consumer just because of one or two things you agree with. Vice versa, companies aren't pro-consumer just because of one or two things you agree with. They are still the one of the big three looking out for core gamers the most and developing content for them and consistently delivering on that content. Out of any of the big three's leadership, it isn't Sony that is lacking. You can't agree with every person at the top but you certainly don't sound con...
He said they typically acquire devs that have had a long history with them. This is paying/funding for a 3rd party exclusive. Not buying a developer to forever keep games away from others.
@MIDGETonSTILTS17
And, that is my point. 343i aren't what remains of the people that worked on OG Halo games. Those people are with Bungie, and different devs.
For numbers sake. Only 4 people left Bungie to be with 343i. Only one important role for game development came back to Halo in 2019 and that's it.
@blackblades
A smurf is not necessarily a troll. It's just lingo for an alternate account, so your main would typically have much more playtime and achievements. This does come with complications where higher skilled players on fresh accounts are ruining the fun for some other newer players by playing against them. Some smurfs are respectable of this though and don't try to make it hard on the other team. They might just want to put some games into these accounts so...
Bungie didn't dissolve into 343i. All that marketing and journalists spreading this around just mislead everyone. Very few Bungie devs stayed behind. There were only floor level developers aside from one management/supervisor role left behind. That management/supervisor role was not development related. It was online marketing, HR, and social media related. They manage the 343i site as well. No key players were ever left behind like some kept trying to misconstrue. We did get one key play...
It's much better since being f2p it will prevent sooome of the smurfs and trolls from entering comp. It's already a common thing with ow1
I'm interested in the benchmarks just as a measure of performance. When we moved up in resolutions we saw certain hardware outperforming others. Though 8K isn't really expected to repeat that behavior. It was 720p vs 1080 and 1080 vs 4k that showed some brands outperforming others based off architecture, features, RAM amount, etc. It will be a good day though just seeing us hit an 8k60fps card on the most demanding games.
I feel like Rare was Nintendo's Insomniac. They were perfect together and their guidance and push towards perfection made a great relationship. They didn't miss a step.
No where close. Sea of Thieves still doesn't have that much content for an open world game. The combat is very boring. The great thing is the freedom and sailing with your friends. It's really not that good of a game on its own. It's alright.
Most of the key players quit around 2008-2010ish when Phil Spencer became in charge of XBox Europe gaming studios. 2010 he became Director of Games for all their studios, also seems to coincide with the uplift in Kinect development and steering their developers towards Kinect as he took control, and onward into XBox One's generation until the public backlash. Rare did best with Nintendo's guidance.
See. This argument keeps being brought up, yet no one acknowledges that there are instant charge options available. Clip on batteries. Just clip it on and you don't need the controller to be tethered for 15 mins. If it's such a big deal then you'd accept this option. Instead when this is brought up it's glossed over so this "pro and con" argument can keep going on for what is actually a very pesky thing to focus on for a better product. I'd say the more complete ...
Offset holds no advantage but I'm not gonna argue with what you find more comfortable. It's a dead argument. People say it's better for movement.. but then have nothing to say in regards to the camera which needs more precise control to get your shots off.
@CrimsonWing69
Holy!!.. you.. you cracked it! You've done it! All they have to do is make a game that can compete with CoD! It was just that easy! Hold on while I go make a CoD, Fortnite, GTA, and WoW competitor. I never realized how easy it was till just now.
This isn't how competition works. You can't just make a like product. It has brand recognition and so many factors. It's not about whether this kills Sony. It's about the effect...
