He said they've been working on it before Oculus was announced. This shouldn't be open for debate, so stop.
The Rift didn't have a company as big as Sony behind it. They couldn't have had a longer development process than Sony, especially since Sony has had a 3D headset on the market for years with many prototypes with plans to use them for a form of VR.
So, he makes PC games $40 and console games $60 in the graph, when many PC games are still $60, and it's up to the gamers what to buy. If you want to do a comparison of a cheaper platform then you need specific examples of games that launch cheaper on PC, which, these days, tend to be the same price as their console version.
And then, there's Humble Bundle, which I am surprised he didn't brag about. He also didn't mention PS Plus's guaranteed content ever...
@nerdman67
Please, stop it with the ignorant opinions. Games have never been about being lazy to me. They were always about being fun. If it requires me to move around then I don't care as long as it's fun. It's an option to get this kind of thing, so I don't understand your campaign to belittle it.
As for your comment above about Kinect, yes, it is VR. It captures body movement from reality and blends it into a virtual world. This is a from ...
Sony had a demo of a Move-like controller for PS2. It's not the wand demo either(just tracking a ball on a stick).
https://www.youtube.com/wat...
That short clip of a video demonstrating they had prototypes that track the motion completely 1:1 in real time. This was for PS2.
Also, don't forget many of the technologies arcades have before consoles.
@kwandar
Seeing how it is very comparable to both the PS3 and 360, but with more RAM, which developers have been compromising games around for years, it is obviously going to be stronger than those two.
I don't understand what you're talking about. The talks about Wii U having a ton of bandwidth have never been confirmed and most were exaggerations, uneducated assumptions, and false claims to drive hits. It is faster than the PS3 and 360, that alone ...
When the Playstation 3D TV came out with fantastic quality in picture, 3D, and a great set of speakers for a TV at only $300 I'm thinking that it could end up being $300 as well. I hope that it can be used on PC as well, if Sony does come out with a VR headset that is.
PS4's power at only $400 at launch and Sony's several amazing developers with proven track records. Yes.
Nintendo's Wii U, a little more powerful than a PS3, with an awesome controller, and Nintendo's developers proven track record. Yes, and the only reason otherwise is that 3rd parties are neglecting their console, even the ones that were born on Nintendo consoles.
I can't say I care for X1 when PS4 trumps it in just about every way for a...
Generations are by sequence like he has been saying. With generations, obviously, technology progresses, so newer generations are more powerful. The Wii had PS2-like graphics, but was a generation after PS2. If Wii is part of the 360 and PS3's generation then the Wii U is part of the PS4 and X1's generation.
Just like human beings have generations. If someone today is just as smart as Leonardo Da Vinci that doesn't make him part of his generation.
And people were trying to tell me you can't cheat on games with dedicated servers before I asked them why MapleStory and dozens of other dedicated server games have websites completely based around getting cheats for those games.
It isn't chaotic when everyone has a mech. Everyone is equally matched and mechs aren't hard to deal with. They are underpowered and their attacks are pretty lame.
Jimmy Fallon had both XBox One and PS4 on his show. I believe XBox One was before PS4 as well. Don't twist around facts.
No. Because, Sony already gives plenty incentive to buy PS+. Live struggles to justify itself.
For multiple panels video RAM is most important. 1GB will be good for one monitor but on multiple monitors it will likely perform worse than a weaker card with more RAM in that situation.
The benefits of RAM aren't just multiple monitors, so I really want to see how it will do with PS4's several gigs of DDR5.
Something that can be done without a proprietary connector.
Magnets. Computers have magnets, phones have magnets, microwaves have magnets, etcetera. If people are stuck to the ceiling..
@SilentNegotiator
That's why you think it's like Smallville? Care to elaborate on that or just prove further ignorance?
@SilentNegotiator
Except, Arrow is good. Don't judge by looks. Judge by the content.
They need to make new seasons first.
@darkride66
That isn't the point. It is that the PS2 has a far wider fanbase compared to the first XBox. So, you should expect more disagrees than agreements. Plus, you said "Everyone knew that if you had a choice on which platform to get a game on, the Xbox version would always be superior". Multiplatform games had far less difference back then. Few people realized there was even a difference, let alone even cared for XBox other then for Halo. PS2 was always th...
There are still many big games that release for $60 on PC and the trend is getting more popular to make an extra buck. Still, you're more likely to get it cheaper on PC if at all, but I generally wouldn't buy a game on console unless it is an exclusive, otherwise I do all my gaming on PC. If I had a PS3, Vita, or PS4 and Plus that would be a whole other thing because it gives you generally great games and other content for a few bucks a month. I want consoles because I want their excl...
