Like WafflesID said. It isn't cell-shading. It's graphic novel-like texturing with a border around objects to have the art style. I have BL2 on PC and have modded it to turn off the border effect and it actually boosted frames by a few and the game looked great.

@Brazz

For third person and first person games, sure.

For simple aiming in a single direction and movement. A controller is normally more comfortable. For inventory management a mouse and keyboard is better.

It doesn't need balancing because it's so simple with little content and variations.

Driveatar isn't processed on the cloud. It is processed on the console and then uploaded to be hosted data on the cloud for others to access.

Where are you getting terms like "data mining" and "learning algorithm"? The Azure cloud is a normal server. AI designed to be weak =/= dumb AI. There are tons of other options than making battle ready soldiers complete idiots with no reaction. They didn't even have to have AI at a...

True for mostly every product.

You have to keep in mind though, that for this kind of thing, XBox One already has more developer control and optimization than a PC. What performance gains are on PC are going to be far less for X1. Obviously, it's better than nothing. I wonder how it will perform on my laptop, which has a CPU bottleneck. And, I would like my dual graphics to have its performance update I heard about a while ago.

Not being buggy doesn't mean something is glitch free. Every game has glitches.

They had no games otherwise. They had to take a chance or have no games for their console. Ryse is a chance? Generic hack and slash war games always sell. PvZ isn't a chance at all. It is majorly successful on multiple platforms.

Halo 4 and so on already destroyed themes of the story. They will not be ground breaking. They will be nothing more than DLC-like expansions onto the previous games. Fable is also quite dead. Are you really going to brag about rehashed franchise...

Dude, they are two different clouds. Two different sets of PC's. Azure is made up of very basic hardware, basically just RAM and average CPU's. PS Now is made up of what is essentially custom PS3's, which have are completely designed playing PS3 games, clearly. One PS Now server plays a PS3 game. It would take a couple Azure servers to play any graphical game. The graphics of The Last of Us would take at least a dozen Azure servers. Azure is not at all for g...

@Septic

NVidia's cloud prototype has good GPU's. Azure does not. NVidia does with 1 server what a dozen Azure servers probably can't do as well. Because, NVidia's server has real quality gaming hardware. Azure has standard server hardware that are not individually powerful whatsoever. When Azure has proper graphics hardware then you can talk about it in real world use for graphics.

@UnHoly_One

Except, PS Now is an already demonstrated product. ONLive did this and it worked. PS Now is the same, but, PS games and probably a stronger server. They also sent out PS Now beta invites. On the other hand, the Azure cloud is not designed around heavy workload at all and can only do CPU-oriented tasks. A hundred servers could do that demo, for sure. But, you aren't actually going to give even one XBox One user an exclusive server just to play a game, that thou...

@vulcanproject

It's definitely done on the CPU. If done on a high-end GPU it would blaze through this no problem. There is no straight reason for them telling you they are high end Maingear computers when it is a CPU only function, and serves for a benchmark rather than actual use. Of course, if it lags around 2 fps on one CPU with 30,000 physical objects with physics on them it won't perform as well as 50 servers CPU's. But, if it is actually high-end and is some...

What's even more ridiculous is the restriction the author put on his list. Seriously, all the games are from PS3 and 360?

Why not something that defined its genre for its time that we've not had something quite like it in some time, or aren't expecting soon? A classic RPG like FF7, Breath of Fire, a completely revamped and true Tekken like the 3rd and Tekken Tag, fresh revamp of Guitar Hero/Rockband, Super Mario World, a fresh Zelda game, Crash Bandicoot, Jak and...

You're actually on a computer/console the whole time in a virtual world that makes all these things so easily possible and wreak mayhem on the virtual world. Oh, wait that's just you playing the game.

Well, they said $1 billion spent on games or game content. I don't being the exclusive NFL console is part of that but who knows. They consider the power brick an accessory after all..

Because, people want more and always will. Clearly, they would like to have another console with its own share of great games and not have to compromise a lot to get that. Also, many were and are XBox 360 players and aren't too excited with XBox One.

Not sure what you're talking about. I even rewatched the opening of their e3 with PS4 to see if I missed something, and I'm not missing anything about their E3 opening.

N4G and just about every gaming news site was filled with 360 fanboys. Also, generalizing a population isn't an argument.

Hmm.. So, you're saying PS3 had a bad first 3 years? InFamous, MGS4, Resistance 1 and 2, Uncharted 1 and 2, LittleBIGPlanet, Demons Souls, Motorstorm 1 and 2, Killzone, Ratchet and Clank's, Yakuza, Valkyria Chronicles, Heavenly Sword, etcetera?
Then, what about 360's first three years?

Well, Windows benefits from Mantle because of Windows poor design around hardware communication, which they only bothered to mess with because Mantle exposed their laziness, past the fact that we still have essentially the same OS for over a decade now that still has old issues.. PS4 already has excellent hardware communication because it's far more specialized for it and not a custom port of an un-optimized Windows.

Perhaps Mantle on PS4 would be better coded for AMD ha...
