I love N4G.

Two stories. Each of them are someone's individual "sob story" regarding a 360 or PS3. One of them is by a professional movie reviewer. It was also the one that was deleted.
Can you guess which console it was about?
Read my post. It wasn't even a 360.
Geez.
Silly Mart, didn't you get the memo?
If you like any Playstation system, you have to like ALL of them AND think Sony is the savior of gaming.
Also, you're not allowed to own a 360, either. Sorry.
Guys, just FYI, this was a power supply for the original XBox, not the 360.
So far, the only damage the 360 has done has been to people's faith in Microsoft.
Only 60%?
If it were a bigger TV (plasma maybe?) and an 80 GB PS3 I might be seriously considering this. As is, $3300 seems quite a bit for a 46 inch LCD.
CRY(SIS) HAVOK (the physics engine?), AND LET LOOSE THE DOGS (the annoying as Hell CoD4 ones, to precise) OF (God of) WAR!
Awesome. I can't wait til I have to download new cars for GTA5 that were included on the disc but locked until I pay EA a random fee.
F*** off, EA. Stick to Madden and leave the real gamers alone. It was bad enough when you bought Bioware, but this has to stop before you own and Ubisoft own the entire damn industry.
"The island of dead formats" is an amusing mental image.
The HD-DVD Highlands takes its place amongst the Bluffs of Betamax, the Laserdisc Lowlands, and the UMD Underground which lies far beneath the great Mount Minidisc.
Because he knew it was wrong and wanted to stand up for himself, most likely.
People shouldn't let small people who work at big companies push them around just because they work for big companies.
I'd probably leave, myself, but this guy has my respect for having the balls to realize it was wrong and take a stand.
I wonder if they'll start calling the police when we refuse to get service plans, too.
"You WILL take the service plan, if you love your friends and family. Do you love your friends and family, Mr. Smith? You wouldn't want anything to HAPPEN to them, right? Then you might want to get this service plan."
@Below:
"Yes, it was down for 3 months"
How is the beginning of January to Mid-February 3 months? And most people didn't have trouble for 3 months. That sounds specific to your situation. I mean, it sucks, but I didn't have trouble til Mid-February, nor did anyone I know.
"You are totally contriticting yourself!"
No, I was exaggerating reactions to make a point about N4G. I wasn't specifically referring to any...
1. I wasn't here back then, so I wasn't around during this mythical Golden Age of 360 Fans I keep hearing about. So don't say "you guys" - I'm not a 360 fanboy. Or a Sony fanboy. I'm a GAMER. However, what I see now is people constantly praising Sony and attacking Microsoft, and ganging up on those who aren't praising the PS3 like it's the second coming of Jesus just because it has an amazing line-up this year. I used to have 9 bubbles. I'm now down to 5. Why? Because not ev...
That's a poor choice of day to take it down :P
"Microsoft takes down XBox Live permanently - leaving console business!" suddenly becomes a believable April Fools Day gag if Live is ACTUALLY DOWN when people go to check.
@The people above
You don't have to pay for XBL if you just want to download content.
XBL was not down for "3 months". It had trouble during the month of January due to the influx of new users.
I'm also not comparing a delay of a PSN game to XBL being down in January, nor do I think the delay of GT5 was even a big deal.
I'm just saying that many people here will play the Sony Apologist for almost anything, and will attack ...
Tweak 1: Format HD
Tweak 2: Install XP
Look at this way -
If Microsoft created SkyNet, it would probably have a blue screen of death or three red lights before it could wipe out humanity as we know it anyway.
"An error has occured in destroylifeasyouknowit.dll. Please report this error to Microsoft."
If it happens for Sony: "No need to say sorry"
If it happens for Microsoft: "I can't believe this horrible service! And people pay for this crap! PSN > XBL!!!"
I love N4G.
I play my PSP in "waves" - I'll go months without playing it, then play almost nothing BUT it for a month.
I guarantee that its potential as a portable emulator platform - if nothing else - means I'll be playing it long after I stop playing my 360.
How does this article have ANYTHING TO DO with the RRoD?
Some guy lost his account information. It's not exactly a widespread incident.
But somehow, on N4G, this is news and the other article is not.
@18.4 Below:
Knock off the personal attacks. The Gamer Zone is for reasonable discussion. You are completely missing my point, which was obvious the instant you brought up the RRoD.
Why is this article news but the other...
