The people at Gamesradar really need better things to do.
This entire article boils down to "Here's why this kinda sucks...EXCEPT IT DOESN'T."
We get it. The game is f***king incredible. Stop rubbing in that you've played it, and we haven't.
Because when something gets really popular, certain people decide to hate it just for the sake of hating it and being different.
Keep in mind, pre-ordering is probably more useful if you wanted a Limited/Collector's Edition of a game. If you just want the standard version, it's significantly less useful.
I still have to decide if I want the Collector's Edition of GTA4 or not...
Wow, I actually remember playing Fester's Quest.
That fact absolutely terrifies me.
In before "Where is Halo and Gears of War and Lair and Killzone and every Wii game ever?!"
@Below:
Wow, that's sad. No, I typically avoid the Open Zone because it's just depressing and frustrating and I have to restrain myself from posting there. Last time I tried to posting something reasonable there, I lost 2 or 3 bubbles, so never again.
I swear, some kids don't think gaming began until the PS2 era or something.
Remember to reward yourself with cake if you pull it off.
Best Buy is just not winning any customer loyalty these days.
First the story about how they called the cops on a customer, now this.
My recent experience buying a TV at Circuit City, combined with looking for TV's at Best Buy and stories like this have, against all odds, made me a Circuit City fan. I never saw that coming.
Circuit City actually let me bring my 360 into the store and hook it up to the TV I was interested in. How awesome is that? ...
I hate online achievements. It sucks that, once people stop playing a game, there's really no way to get them unless you specifically ask certain friends to play with you.
CoD4 had it right. Use achievements for single player replayability and make the multiplayer alone as addicting as crack cocaine.
"The "Red Ring of Death" affecting the Xbox 360 has been a nightmare for Microsoft. It has cost lot of money to the company, as it was forced to extend the system's warranty to cover this technical problem, which is rumored to have a failure rate as high as 16%."
LOL. Yeah right. The failure rate, at a MINIMUM, is 33%. It's likely MUCH higher.
This article is complete garbage. The submitter, and anyone who approves it, should be utterly ash...
Whoever submitted this should be beaten with a large stick until they apologize.
This wasn't news back in November - you know, when the ARTICLE WAS WRITTEN - and sure as Hell isn't magically news now.
EDIT: Whoops, sorry. Wasn't approved after all. Whew.
I think you accidentially posted in the Gamer Zone, because this is where we try to have reasonable discussions and NOT fanboy blather.
I don't think it was real, because there's been no mention of split-screen co-op for either system, and Rockstar has flat out said that both platforms have the exact same features.
"It started wit sony it should end wit sony."
I disagreed with you for that line. I don't care what game system a franchise started on.
I swear, you'd think Sony fanboys forgot that Final Fantasy started on Nintendo. Does that mean FFXIII should be on Wii? Or that we should only play the Crystal Chronicles series? Please.
If I owned both systems, I'd probably get the 360 version. Why? Most of my gamer friends have 360's, not PS3's. ...
Of course, the downside is, you actually have to give Wal-Mart money.
We at N4G like to whine about Sony and Microsoft being evil, but neither of them hold a candle to Wal-Mart.
Hey Jason,
I don't own a PS3. Just a 360. Sorry, champ.
I got a 73 inch 1080p DLP for $2200.
Which is less than the $5000 you quoted.
Just sayin'.
People like you are an insult to real gamers.
Why can't you be happy with the console(s) you own? What's the point of ragging on other console owners?
There are reasons to own every console. There are reasons to NOT own every console. It's a matter of personal game preferences, finances, etc. Get over it.
Keep this fanboy crap out of the Gamer Zone.
Because I like to buy games and rip them to ISO for the speed increase and battery power savings, not to mention the convenience of not having to lug around UMD's.
Because I like to run at the Level 4 Brightness without being plugged into an AC outlet.
Because I love the SNES and PS1 emulation. Please show me what other handheld I can play FF4, FF6, and FF7 on.
How's that for starters?
For some reason the image of Jack Thompson'S head popping up made me think of the "Toasty!" guy from MK2.
*fires a rocket launcher into a crowded intersection*
"Toasty!"
