At the Civ: Rev. website, we can now redeem our codes for free DLC, so I'm assuming that means it'll be available on the PSN today for purchase as well. I'd check that part off as true, at least.
i agree. most of the songs that I've downloaded from the Rock Band store are tracks that I ALREADY have a legally owned copy of (yes, I do buy my music). They basically got to sell me the same song twice, and while I'm sure most of the money goes to the developer, they're the ones that pay whatever the I'm sure is already outrageous licensing fee is. No one's buying these songs and playing them in the background as music (are you?).
If ANYTHING, this game's great advertisem...
depends on when and where you bought it. inside the case should have been a redemption voucher. different stores got different codes for different downloads. It's all on their site. I'm getting the Best Buy one. the rest, i'm assuming, you pay for.
All I did in this game was Take A Ride mode through miami and frisco. Way too much fun. i always said nothing would be better than putting that mode online with multi-player as a cops and robbers tag kind of game. will definitely be picking this one up.
wow. Indigo Prophecy is one of my 3 favorite games ever. What about it brings such harsh sentiments out of you?
well, there is downloadable content coming soon; for free for some, depending on where you bought the game. If you go to the website, http://www.civilizationrevo... click on community, features, and scrool down, there's a link to what downlaod you get depending on what store you bought the game from. I'm to get the Best Buy one. These will be available for purchase as well.
yeah, I can't stop playing myself, although I haven't ventured online with the game yet. I haven't had any trouble or lost a match yet, but then again, haven't played higher than the second difficulty. Trying to get a feel for all the cultures before I start going at the harder
Short, no numbers, no spaces, easy to spell, and one word. Plus, it means something to anyone that sees me over in the forums.
There's a very good reason WHY we call it soccer. I don't remember off the top of my head all of the details, but a long, long time ago (centuries), some guys started playing a game where they kicked a skull around. Boom. Beginning of "football." Then it got outlawed by King Henry the something or other, because it was viewed as a waste of time. After his removal from kingship, it was officiallized and legalized and all that good stuff, and it was "Associated Football.&quo...
pretty good ideas, Bathyj. You could even extend it to non-gaming aspects. All the video on your harddrive could be displayed as some massive DVD case. Your pictures could be photo albums, messages from friends on an answering machine, etc., etc. It would also mean anyone visiting your home space could immediately see these media too. oooh, actual mail for your text messages...
I think he meant that you have to time things pretty well; you can't just wail on the grab button to reach out and grasp a moving object, because I guess each grab attempt takes a certain amount of animation time, and so you can't just do it really quickly hoping to forgo timing things.
I'll spare you guys copying and pasting it, as it'll hog up room on the page, so...

The graphics are indeed like nothing we've seen in a real-time game before, I think.
He does indeed, and seems willing to call out his own industry, as well as those on the outside looking in. I never really thought about it, but it is kind of unfortunate that the video game industry lacks any kind of formalized, unified front with which to address issues and topics greater than any of the individual consoles. It's probably just too tumultuous a field though, with the caustic infighting between the console makers, the buying and selling of services amongst developers, and t...
Agreed; great interview. He nails many of the issues that I have with the progression of gaming: I am older now - a 25 year old male who's been playing games for around 2 decades. And although I appreciate the progression the industry's made thus far, it's still an industry swamped with games made "for teenagers," as he says. Developers are afraid to invest in something with depth and breadth that doesn't have you carry ammo or casting spells. And while such games are incredibl...
Couple this with the wireless electricity they're finally getting going, and we're almost at a rediculous media turning point.
Shuffle library. I do the same thing; crank the reciever upstairs and then head outside. I've even used it down in the basement which is a two stories down. that signal travels further/stronger than the specs suggest.
I'm far too lazy to go find the exact video right now, but when I first saw the clip of this game during their press conference, the visuals and more importantly the sound effects just SCREAMED Snowcraft to me. I wonder if they're using that game's devs or something. Any one remember it? http://www.iconnicholson.co...
I'm hyped about the game because of the developer behind it. "Quantic Dreams made Indigo Prophecy." There. Done. All the reason I'd ever need to know that any product they put out, I'm going to want to play and own and cherish. After playing just one of their titles, they've become a developer that I whole-heartedly trust. They could honestly release a game without any press or media release as to the subject or design, and I'd buy it on pure consumer trust alone; they've earn...
of the ones you mentioned, the ability to continuously play video is the most imoprtant to me; have been wanting that for a long time. Having to cut my controller back on ever 22 minutes or so when having a Home Movies marathon isn't torturous by any means, but it'd be nice not to have to. Tivo just recently got updated with folder playing itself, and it makes a world of difference in watching shows.
