Plus, given the amount of internal fighting (within buildings), and the scale of verticality in the maps (over four stories), it lets you know whether help/danger is actually able to reach you or not. It is different, and can take some getting used to, but can also be useful.

It's ridiculously cool, but potentially overpowering. Especially when the people use it right. For example, I once had a sabeteur accompany myself and teammates to the drop zone before opening up fire on us. There's a perimeter around which the cloaking deactivates and you can see the enemy for what it is, if you get close enough. Scares the bajeesus out of you the first time you see it; especially when you weren't aware it was a feature of the game.

I was sad it wasn't in Rock Band 2, as it seems the natural next step to add, but that they're considering it at all is what I need to hear. When Red Octane and Harmonix split, Harmonix was the easy dev to back. I've had MTV Music Generators 1 through 3, Frequency, Amplitude, and the first two GHs. Harmnix has never done me wrong; they know what they're doing.

well, as people have said; this isn't indicitave of the actual story line. But the answer to your question is yes; there are various outcomes of events that can all be incorporated into the story. For example, if you leave undetected, you'd call the cops on the guy. If you escape with him knowing you're there, then he kills himself, I believe (you hear a gunshot as you're fleeing on bike). Or, it's possible to die in the house; all of these would be compensated for and integrated into the...

TV versity can't do the Netflix part though, which is all I really care about and use. I've been in the beta for a while now, and they only just recently got the View it Now Netflix functionality working, and it works great. Better than I can get the Hulu and other streams to work, even.

I'm fairly certain I saw LAIR at Sears for $14.99; don't know if it was just that store moving stock or what.

I'm kind of the opposite in that I LOVED Indigo Prophecy. It took interactive story-telling to levels and depth that most games don't allow. It wasn't a shallow experience, but one where the story is the entire game; no collecting; no mowing through re-spawning foes, just playing through a mature story, and making all of the decisions and controlling the progression. It's the closest to really feeling like playing a movie - which many may be against, saying they'd rather play a "game....

You can stream Netflix on your 360 or ps3 already (it works for me with my PS3, at least). http://www.themediamall.com...

It's in the beta right now, but the Netflix streaming is pretty spot-on thus far; I'm definitely buying it when it's finalized.

wow; way to just out the store there >_> You do realize they can face a fine for doing that?

That's officially my last request finally being met there. I've been longing for the ability to continuously play a video folder, without having to turn the controller back on every 20 minutes when having a marathon. The auto-turning the controller off is nice to see too, although the controller does a great job of holding its charge anyways, despite falling asleep and waking up with it still on :S.

That's it I guess. I'm done; I can't think of anything I need them to do except ...

Happy for the good review, but my goodness, do they need a new editor (or one at all). The number of grammatical errors before the end of the first paragraph was appalling.

Just a week and a day! Sadly, I head to the beach on the 21st, and knowing history, coming out on the 21st = in the stores on the 22nd :-( Won't be playing 'til the 26th unless there's some kind of midnight release for it...

I say the ability to read the actual article is an excellent screening process

I wonder what function causes the game to automatically clear out a filled row like that.... cool.

I got the duplicated comments without obtaining the update (finally managed to log onto the network though). Whatever they're doing, it's definitely hitting their servers it seems.

don't know if it's coincidence or not, but I can't even log into the playstation network (I'm east coast as well). I'll keep trying though.

wish I knew why the psblog videos won't play for me anymore, but I watched it over at gametralers; great vido, can't wait for the game. just over a month left!

I'm excited by the game, and will definitely purchase it, but I get the impression that there's no online competition, or if so, with just one other person; I forget WHY I think this, but it was based on something shown in the trailer. Also, the format seemed to be one where they give you choices and you pick the right answer? That takes half of the fun out of it. Granted, trying to type out a response without a keyboard within the time limit could prove difficult, but still :-(
