I sincerely hope the 3DS version rivals the Wii U version in terms of quality. I trust in the 3DS developers Sanzaru. Their last 4 games have averaged 75% positive critic ratings. I'd be pleased with that average score for Sonic Boom 3DS. But I'm hoping it can speed into the 80%+ realm

I have NEVER been disappointed with an EA sports game. That includes NHL on the SEGA Genesis, to NFL Street on PS2, to Madden on PS3. You don't realize how awesome EA sports games are until they don't come to your system. And since I only play handhelds, I haven't gotten much love from EA on 3DS or Vita

Start pushing out consistent AAA 1st-party titles like 3DS is and you'll start to see similar sales. Which means you're gonna have to put some of your best console devs on Vita duty like Nintendo did for Luigi's Mansion and Smash Bros. on 3DS

You don't make it in Smash unless you're an icon. Wonderful 101 ain't even in the conversation at this point

Little Mac = great.

Mega Man = awesome.

Snake = sold

Considering there's no release date, this technically could be early

Can't he appear in both? I mean, there are literally Snake clones out there

Snake? Snake?? Snaaaaake!!! We need you in this game

Kojima has made a Metal Gear game for 3DS. And hopefully he's got something else in the pipeline

If you follow this link:

http://www.gamestop.com/nin...

And then look under the product description for the game, you'll discover these rather disappointing words for 3DS owners:

"* Free roam available on PS4, PS3, XboxONE®, Xbox 360®, and Wii U systems only."

According to Gamestop's website, the 3DS version is the only version without free roam

Less screens, more release dates

So Japan is going to destroy itself by taking its most revered resource (Zelda) and leave it in a state of limbo so know one knows when the next entry is coming out. Then it's going to take its flagship resource (Mario) and release an updated version that looks and feels identical to a much smaller version and less innovative version that was released prior (3DS version of Super Mario 3D). THEN it's going to take it's online service and release primitive handheld games on it (ok...

@Simplepalidin, you are either an idiot or a liar. I'm just gonna go ahead and assume both.

1.) NINTENDO made the Wii, not Sony. And I didn't say Nintendo was dead before the Wii, I said it was DYING. So the fact they had money in the bank means nothing. Dying meant that they were losing popularity and the money would eventually evaporate. Just like they had a buttload of money in the bank before the Wii U, but it's all fading away because only a few select d...

Nintendo was pretty much dying before the Wii came out. Of course, the Wii defied logic, made people who had never bought a system before buy systems for each floor of their house, and moved Nintendo to the top. The ONLY reason that the Wii had that power is because it gave us something we had never experienced before. That's it. There's no other reason the Wii sold like that. Not Smash Bros. Not Mario Galaxy. Not Wii Fit. There's really nothing left to innovate. Past moti...

At this point in history, the 3DS doesn't have a single First Person shooter. There is only 1 even confirmed to be in development and it's a port of a DS game that's only coming out on the eShop. First Person shooters were voted the most popular gaming genre by Game Informer a couple years ago.

You cannot call yourself diverse if you don't even cover the most popular genres. The 3DS is built for Japanese people, women, kids, and nerds. Western men are left...

SEGA is doing EVERY possible thing to make a Sonic game for the fans. First, they gave us Sonic Lost World. Everything about that game, from the way it focused almost exclusively on Sonic and Tails instead of their huge cast of modern compadres to the items, enemies, and locations, was a nod to retro Sonic fans. Of course, the gameplay was a little iffy so that hurt the experience for a lot of people.

Now, with Sonic Boom, they're trying to appeal to Americans who ha...

I have no idea what Otaku Dome is. But the author of this piece is a dufus who makes a big point out of explaining that the controls actually work on home consoles. As if there is ANY mobile game in the UNIVERSE that wouldn't handle just as good or better with the more diverse control scheme of a d-pad and buttons.

Star Wars is an extremely strong license for me. I'm tempted to pick this up for 3DS. But at the end of the day, what's the point? Angry Birds a...

@Qrphe, the entire world likes Spidey and Optimus. Only nerds like RPGs. I'm not talking about ACTION RPGs like Zelda, though. So I'm not stepping on EVERY uber-dorks toes

FYI, if you haven't read this yet, the dude who wrote it is an uber-dork whose only interest in life is RPGs. I know that describes a healthy amount of Nintendo fans so it probably won't dissuade many of you from reading the article. But if you're like me and wanted to know some of the action-oriented (or at least based on action-oriented franchises) that are/could come to 3DS in 2014, here ya go:
