Resistance Vita was in development for YEARS. They were making it on a PS3 controller with a screen tied to it before they even had a Vita dev kit. Call of Duty was the one with the short dev time but it had the benefit of using the already built Resistance engine. Plus, Resistance was built specifically for Vita. The Revelations engine wasn't even built for Revelations. It was built for Monster Hunter and just used on Revelations. Even Capcom said it wasn't worth making Revelations because it cost too much even though they sold 600k+ copies. Capcom is one of the biggest companies in the world. Based on the video MikeLarry posted a link to above, it is very clear that NEITHER version resembles anything CLOSE to a PS1 game. PS1 games are hideous. EVERYthing looks blocky and unrealistic. But EVERYthing in Batman Blackgate looks realistic. And show me an in-game effect on PS1 that looks as fluid as Batman's cape as he glides across the air in that Blackgate clip

What you say is true. Yet still, I do not own a Vita and I would buy one if the 2000 model was available in the States. The screen doesn't make a difference to me AT ALL, considering the key to screen clarity is Dots-per-Inch, and once you get past the PSPs 130 DPI it doesn't really make a difference.
