"If I had my druthers, the PlayStation Eye would be a mandatory pack-in with the Move, as the combination of body tracking and motion control make for the most immersive new control experience of this generation."
Say what? It's a required part of the system. WTF?
It does not support online multiplayer, only leaderboards. It does support split-screen multiplayer, though.
From what I've read, I'd think laptops getting stuck in the tube would be an issue.
I think the disagrees are because you put your C drive up there ;)
Right. As a computer scientist who likes playing with interesting toys, where do I buy a cheap Cell-based computer to play with? (Note "cheap." I'm not buying an IBM blade server to play with a toy.)
Yep. Still bugs me. Clearly not as much as losing the ability to play all future games, so I've updated my firmware and lost my secondary toy, but enough that I'll still complain about losing it.
"Instead of Heavy Rain 2, he can make "The Next Game from David Cage." ... Cage said he takes no pleasure in putting his name out there like that..."
Uh huh. Then why not "the next game from Quantic Dreams?" If he wants the fame, that's fine, but to say he takes no pleasure from it? Pff. Whatever.
Excpt, of course, for the fact that Kinect doesn't have the resolution to capture your fingers.
In all honesty, I don't get why everyone is hung up on Minority Report (that is, both Sony and MS fanboys). Is it the first sci-fi movie you've all seen? Minority Report is not the future. It's a movie. Lots of things look cool in movies but are impractical and uncomfortable in real life.
"At the same time, a third RGB camera..."
Um. Far be it from me to criticize the CBC, but... doesn't it only have two cameras?
Hm. I think this game was pretty much intended to affect you as a person. I don't know quite what "morally as a person" means, so maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but if you're not taking it seriously, you're doing this game a disservice, IMHO...
I don't get his thing about this kind of story desensitizing anyone to violence against children, though. It's not like you were ever given the choice of killing the kid, and even the killer-- it'...
"We thought a critic’s job was to speak to every member of its audience?"
Nope. Definitely not a critic's job. The lowest common denominator shouldn't matter to the critic. Even for the reviewer, which is probably what they meant... there's no way to speak to every member of the audience.
Yeah, you're right. He should probably have done that instead of just plain telling everyone he's a scammer. He still wouldn't have got his money back, I think, since GS does in fact say that it needs to be unopened, but at least he wouldn't have outed himself.
I think this one goes in the "Crooks are stupid!" file :)
Yeah, supporting mom and pop stores is awesome... :D but if you do what this jerk does, you're not supporting them.
Please make sure you actually support them, so that the rest of us can one day get away from GameStop! :)
How do you get to the full chart? I only get 20 entries.
Really? "...at least one navigator or DS3..." But anyways. Does anybody know: Are there any two player games that use the DS3/Navigational controller?
I mean, SOCOM, sure, but that's generally a one-player game with multiplayer being done by online. Sorcery also looks like a one-player game...
Oh. Dang, stupid bubble system. You can't respond directly... Well, hopefully at some point someone else will see this and respond.
IdleLeeSiuLung:
Slight correction: if you were getting a PS3 new, you would get the bundle. Granted, it's still more expensive than the new gimped 360, but...
$400 PS3, DS, camera, 1x wand and a game
$ 50 1x Wand
-----------
$450
Re: RTS games... I'd guess you haven't used the menus people are implementing yet. The game I tried at E3 was similar to PS Eye videos I've seen for menus, where you have to wait for the system to register that you really mean to press something. (Presumably to stop it from pressing every time you happen to wave your hands around.) It sounds really cool in theory, but in practice, you need a button if you want speed.
"Kinect bundle with the 4gb 360 ( $199 ) will cost $299. PS3 bundle with Move ... and a game YOU WANT to play and it's $600..."
Haha, that's so true. No cost for games YOU WANT to play with Kinect, since there aren't any.
(Hey, he said it first.)
"...it wouldn’t hurt to have the supplementary Navigational Controller (sold separately) just in case you need to improve your skills at some events."
Um... Sports Champions doesn't use the Navigation controller. It uses one or two Move controllers.
@Reibooi: I personally enjoyed the characters... but not ONE of the rest of my friends did, and they've been more into the series than me; I dropped it at 8 because it didn't live up to my expectations. That says something, and it's not something good. I think I have one friend who finished the game other than me.
Just because a game is motion controlled/casual doesn't mean it's automatically shovelware.
