I'll be pre-ordering when I go to pick up LBP 2. Mostly because I want to get the extra maps free, instead of having to pay extra for them like I did with Halo: Reach.
Naughty Dog prefers to tweak their motion capture with hand animation. They also like to hand animate the faces. It allows for exaggeration that's not possible with super realistic/accurate motion capture. The slight cartoony-ness of Uncharted's animation adds to the feel of Uncharted. It suits Uncharted perfectly.
In terms of technology and realism, yeah L.A. Noire has better Motion Capture. It's pretty obvious. But again, the movements are small, subtle, realist...
The E3 Deus Ex trailer was awesome. Don't think I ever saw the TGS trailer though. Was it CG or in-game?
@Eamon, Why would someone want to build a gun?
I honestly don't understand your point.
Schools are allowed to impede on rights to conserve order. It's been upheld in courtrooms many, many times. You do not have a right to bear arms in school either. Like smashman98 said, by going to the school, you are agreeing to give up those rights - to a reasonable extent.
So he mirrored it AFTER it was used to blow something up? That's hardly the same thing. Still pretty ridiculous though. People use bombs to kill innocent people, why would anyone want to help them? Is your "statement" really worth that much?
I've spoken poorly about beef before and never gotten so much as a warning. What state do you live in that speaking ill of cow meat is against the law? Sounds like you could take them to court.
I don't know where you live, but there are very few things that impede on free speech, and all are reasonable. Research free-speech around the world and you'll learn how restricted free-speech can really be.
Why are you proud of ruining other people's playing experiences? Especially when those people spent their hard earned money to play those games? What exactly makes that fun?
If you want to hack, hack the single player, give yourself a million platinum trophies, etc. I don't really care, but next time, let people enjoy the game they paid for on the system they paid for.
That would be unfair to Crysis. Pong is an exclusive.

I don't understand what's so hard about it. Iron man solved the problem with a bunch of crap he found in a cave.

@fooltheman
It's a feature built into the peripheral.
If anyone is interested, there's a different version of this trailer on the Killzone website. That version is a bit more bloody and violent.
But personally, I actually prefer the PSBlog version. The shots that they use are a bit more epic in scale.
It's funny how some of the posters are refuting the argument with logic and stating why they disagree with the article, while others are simply just bashing the people who disagree with the article.
Hmmm... I wonder which are the fanboys?
It wasn't the murderer's fault he died from the poison, it was his damn immune system's! /s
Granted, Sony has a responsibility to provide a product that is safe for their users and their shareholders. The unfortunate truth is that hackers and pirates exist, and while many have good intentions, the ones who don't ruin it for everyone. Sony needs to protect against them, and they failed (though they did succeed for almost 4 years).
But saying th...
Maybe not, but that doesn't mean it's not equally true. Kinect is an enhanced version of the PSEye, which is an enhanced version of the EyeToy. Similarly, Move is an enhanced version of the Wii.
The difference is, no one named Sony the most innovative company of the year for enhancing another company's product.
BrianG just pointed out something that's very crucial to this discussion. There's a EyeToy and a PSEye. Sony innovated with the EyeToy and produced controller free gaming on the PS2. Then Sony built upon that with the PSEye on the PS3: they added a fancier camera (higher rez, 60fps) and noise cancellation. MS, built upon the PSEye with a fancier camera (3D, infrared), movement, etc.
So who's really the innovators here? Especially considering it's not even Micr...
You want Uncharted to be more unrealistic? We've had immortal zombies and nearly invincible tribesmen. Not to mention all the crazy stuff Drake does throughout the games.
Uncharted can't be more unrealistic than that, otherwise it would be ridiculous. No one would like it.
I understand what you're saying, I love really creative games (The Last Guardian will be a fun unrealistic game), but PLEASE keep it out of Uncharted. Uncharted is about a humbl...
Lucky for him, or he wouldn't have a job.
Cyrus, you're my hero.
I don't know what game you're playtesting, but with next year's lineup, I can only imagine how awesome your job is right now. Color me jealous.
From a post on the Playstation Blog:
"Also includes the Killzone 3 Retro Map Pack, featuring two of the most popular maps from Killzone 2."
It's a pre-order bonus at every retailer, so it doesn't matter where you pre-order. That said, it may not even be maps I want to play (I'm so sick of Radec Academy) but, hey, they're free. And if they're going to be in the playlist, I'm probably going to have to have them anyway.
