Now he's just being stupid.
I could just as easily say that when you're watching a movie, you're just watching everything happen. You're not experiencing the events of the narrative from the first person, but from the third person. You have no control.
What Mr. Russell fails to understand is that videogames have the potential to be a storytelling medium far beyond any medium before it. In a lot of ways, the player becomes the character. The pl...
Rosebud!
To be perfectly honest, I'm not sure the 3 hours was worth the fantastic ending. It's a good movie, but it really didn't have to be that long. Personally, Casablanca and the Maltese Falcon are higher on my awesome old movies list.
I'm fairly certain it still has object based motion blur, it's just been toned down. Actually, all of the post-processing effects have been toned down or removed (ie: camera lens effects) in favor of better AA (or at least a clearer image), better textures, more open environments, and a further draw distance.
So it depends which style you prefer. To be perfectly honest, I think I prefer KZ2's, because I was in love with all the post-processing effects. KZ3 still l...
"Also Android ain't the largest smart phone OS on the market, its Symbian and regardless of how shit it is am sorry but that's just fact's do a little research before you start typing shit. "

What was that about research? Take your own advice and do an evil GOOGLE search next time.
Kinect is selling by the boatloads. The problem isn't that it isn't selling, it's that their aren't any worthwhile games for it yet.
Move is just now getting a killer app, (though MAG, Heavy Rain, and RE5 Gold are great, a post release patch just isn't the same as day 1).
I think both Move and Kinect are just scratching the surface of what they'll become. At least, Sony and MS both hope so. We know Move has at least one full title comi...
"Has no one ever schooled this asshole on professional educate?"
Did you mean etiquette? ;-)
I wouldn't be surprised if they end up doing a system similar to Halo: Reach. That way, you get a nice mix of class based and arena combat.
What kind of crappy target render has aliasing? The VGA trailer was real time, Insomniac confirmed that on the PSBlog. http://blog.us.playstation.... (Comment #13) Not only that, it looks WORSE than the latest gameplay.
You're right. Deluded fannyboys are pathetic.
Seriously? The VGA trailer does not look as good as the recent gameplay with the Brawler. The VGA trailer was an old build. You can see aliasing all over the place and there are low rez textures.
The newest gameplay is much crisper, there's higher quality textures and a lot more particle effects and things going on.
New gameplay >>> VGA trailer
Anyone saying that the lack of HUD is evidence that these are concept art has clearly never looked at screenshots from a videogame in their lives.
Press release screen shots are different from some screengrabs Johnny took on his PC (a la the recent Crysis 2 leak).
And just to be an ass, I'm going to post some screenshots from Killzone 2 that we all know are legit, but either lack HUD or the first person view:
No HUD:

At least you got a 2.2 update. Still none on my Samsung Vibrant (T-Mobile's version).
Adjust the dead zone settings. Make the box really small and it'll be just like that.
I tried it with MAG, and I ended up spinning around in circles like someone who's never played a game before.
Maybe if you drop the sensitivity and turning speed, it might work okay, but it'll probably just make you sick and frustrated.
Bear in mind that I only played in botzone on easy and normal, but I had the best results with these settings.
Sensitivity at 10%
Turning speed 20 or 30%
Horizontal dead zone at 60 or 70%.
Vertical DZ at 100%
Aim assist off (Zoom hold)
Sounds awful, right? The thing is, these settings seemed to work the best for me while my Move hand was resting on my knee (the most comfortable way to use Move, I think). In this position, my h...
No boltgun? Color me disappointed.
Taking cover and playing the game the right way takes a lot more time than just running through it. Play the game on elite and if you beat it in under 5 hours, I'll give you a trophy.
Most reviewers have said it's a 6 hour game, and reviewers don't look for hidden items.
That said, the campaign seems to be hit or miss, which is disappointing. Hopefully I'll enjoy it.
To be fair, the first time I played the beta I just sat and watched the waves roll in for 20 seconds before I realized I was going to die if I stayed there any longer.
I can understand Pyrrhus Rise not being included because of the smaller player count, but I honestly think there were better choices other than Blood Gracht. I hate that map. Though it looks awesome with the plant life. Hopefully it's been rebalanced so people don't just grenade spam and camp the Helghast spawn.
Saluman Market is good, but far from my favorite. It'll definitely be fun with Exo's though. Plenty of alleys to take cover in.
Anyone else think Wolfe looks like Morgan Freeman?
Bravo Insomniac. My hype for this game has just increased ten-fold, and it was already pretty dang high!
I don't care about them being real-time or not (frankly, I prefer the no-loading experience), but I am disappointed that they didn't use a better codec.
