Yeah a ps5 digital edition would be the better option
While what you say is accurate I’m sure in the long run the series s will prove to be quiet a hurdle and challenge for devs to scale games.
Id softwares billy khan has already expressed his issues with the specs, a dev from remedy’s team as well. I would take developers opinions on these matters. Logically a lower spec hardware will hold back titles on the big boy consoles. Engines that don’t scale well will definitely suffer.

Yoh I remember your user Id , we’ve talked about how amazing blood and truth has become on ps4 vr with ps5 back compat. Which is amazing stuff. New hardware enhancing old gems. I said at the time I don’t want to get a psvr on ps5 since I think psvr 2 might come down the line. Yeesh , upping framerates from the 30 to 60 without dev input , not being exciting? This is unprecedented essentially turning a console into a Pc upgrade from old gen to new gen.

Interesting that it outsold the switch. I assume it outsold ps5 dew to the shortage. Good for Xbox team. They’re at the precipice of turning the ship around of the disastrous xbone. With game pass building and the first party studios added a steady a clip of high quality first party titles is all they need to get some clout back with the masses.
Check out their stuff on project mara. There are 2 videos on it from ninja theory on youtube. Those guys do some cool stuff. Enslaved was pretty good back in the day and I did like senuas sacrifice, especially with their audio tech.

Considering the xdk ports to pc and all yakuza games are already cross buy and cross save with Xbox and windows it’s quiet odd that it’s on series and not on pc I reckon it’s probably a timed thing.
Apparently Drews brother passed away. Hopefully the family is fine. Drew Murray did some great work on sunset overdrive and built initiative from the ground up. Hopefully the project is already up and running and will be in good hands. The man deserves the break to sort out his personal life.
Would not be surprised if they sign up for a third party exclusive with Sony or ms next. Get some bigger budget for an exclusive while remaining independent and trying to retain the ip. They have the clout now.
Oh that's awesome, xbox gamers can finally play one of the best games from ryu ga gotoku studios now. Judgement is so good. It's a great crime drama. Honestly judgement was more fun to experience than yakuza 7. Eventhough both are great in their own right.
I think df doesn’t have the Xbox version or they are under embargo. Remedy has a deal with sony. They did this highlight engine video with Cold War too focusing on PlayStation only. It’s all business. Also keep in mind control is Launching on psplus soon and control came out on psnow first. I’m sure tom will get into it in his upcoming analysis with the series consoles.

I’m trying to push this thought out of my head but it started with that bonkers re7 Chris dlc, the 3rd act of re2 remake and then all of re3 remake. Watching the trailers and seeing things like the bloodborne boss fights with werewolves and red barrels for explosions. Them showing duke as the merchant. They’re heading into the re4 / re5 territory. And I hope it’s an outlier and I’m wrong. People are forgetting the camp of Ramon salazar from 4. And I don’t want any of that. Idk guys I’m just ...

The cpu being the same as the series x will definitely help. Will have to see how games adapt going forward though.
I still feel series s is a little too undercooked out of the gate compared to series x. But a great little machine packed with a lot of power.
