Dude yes totally get you. This was a divisive game. This was not a safe sequel to make. Totally get this was not the sequel you wanted. But it was for me. Sony and naughty dog showed brass balls green lighting this sequel. Sony in particular deserves a lot of credit for allowing this to happen.

Nah man, that experience of waking up as Abby after trying to hunt her ass down and feeling so angry and frustrated when I’m controlling her for the first time and then thinking man this manny fella seems alright, and eventually leading to empathizing with Abby by the end, and wishing Ellie would just stop. All of those moments work only when you go in thinking this is a Joel / Ellie story.

Insane to think that gears fable forza and halo in some form or the other are out or teased to be out soon, leading their first party on series x. They have not bolstered their first party line up in any significant way since the 360 days. Microsoft needs to fix their seriously lacking first party output. I’m rooting for them hope they can turn it around.

definitely worth a go, this was my personal goty of 2019, I was so glad remedy got the recognition it so deserved, superb game that controls well and is filled to the brim with weirdness, The foundation and AWE were also good tbh, finished them recently, grab it on a sale if you can, especially if you love control both are worth it.

Same I’m also playing on the uplay plus. It crashed on me couple of times, and it hitches whenever I switch between controller and keyboard.

most likely with better optimizations and time these target frame rates and general performance will get better. Series x is slightly more powerful than ps5 on paper. Doesn’t mean much if they don’t optimize games and fix development issues.
Dirt 5 has a bug where Xbox one textures and code is showing up on series x quality mode according to df. Which codemasters acknowledged as a bug. That’s a ridiculous bug to have in the first place.
They didn’t look much into the pc but the update definitely fixed an issue where frames were dropping during conversations and cutscenes. Now it holds target frame rates well on my pc. But this still feels like the game is held together with duct tape sometimes.
So ridiculous, same thing was said during ac unity since it was cpu bottlenecked and ran at a higher framerate but lower resolution on one x compared to ps4. The fan boy conspiracy theory never changes, I’ve seen this every console cycle.
i like this update sp far, they fixed how the skills show up in the upgrade menu and the rumor guy walking around lets you select the type of item you want them to show on the map. Also the store in raventhorpe seperates cosmetic items on the list. Smart changes.
Not bad, for that price. i'm sure in the long run this will outsell series x , with optimizations and what not i'd be curious to see if that 1440p target holds or not in the long run.

Probably coz that series x version came in extra hot and broken 🤷🏽♂️ The screen tearing for people is pretty bad. Poorly optimized.
Microsoft did mention they are working on a method to double up frame rates on old games without need for developers to go back into the code, they demonstrated that with fallout 4, so 60fps on older games definitely happening at some point.
