Nooo, BluRay isn't needed, as long is devs can cut their games in half to make them fit on a DVD, why use BluRay...

@People who think BR is not necessary: You are dumb.

The way I see it, it's a closed beta for a reason, for multiple reasons in fact. Well his explanation sounds plausible to me. Cut the guy some slack he's trying to provide a service that has been dismissed as impossible the minute is has been annnounced.

I am excited to see how OnLive turns out once it's released. It's new technology and there has never been a working large scale model of this, so, instead of burning the witch before you've seen for yourself just relax and wait f...

Nvidia is in the exact same spot as Sony when they were about to release the PS3. Sorry but the similarities are just too big to ignore.

While ATI is sprinting to the top with DX11 and cheaper and faster (single core) cards, Nvidia is crawling, so it seems.

I would buy an ATI card, the hardware is pretty good, but the software... it's just plain horrible. The drivers suck so bad it's unbelievable. Installed the latest "legacy" drivers because my current car...

When are they coming out? I can't wait... my 8800GTS decided to commit suicide last Saturday and I am in desperate need of a new GFX card. I won't go ATI ever again, had a couple of those back in the days and all of them were a pain in the ass (VPU recover anyone?). Currently I am forced to use a PC that can't handle a fullscreen YouTube video, which is bad, the worst part is that it uses a onboard Radeon 2100.

Nvidia, save me!

If Sony fails to attach some kind of analog stick to it then definately yes, but if there is one, I can't think of anything more exciting, honestly.

You can walk, move the camera and have complete control of your arms in a first person RPG using shield and pixel to pixel hit detection: epic.

If however the wands lack the analog sticks Sony can stick it where the sun doesn't shine.

I think the graphics are amazing for what has to be on screen. Tight vegetation, a giant load of players, explosions, gun fire etc etc etc.

It's so damn obvious M.A.G. can't look like Uncharted 2 or Killzone 2, yet people keep expecting miracles to happen.

The game looks outstanding for what it does.

I am very excited about OnLive, the service is new, yes, there has never been a service so close to release ever before. I know it works, but I still have a healthy dose of skepticism. How I know? Simple, look at the list of publishers who signed up for the service. A publisher would never ever invest in a fairytale product.

Watched the 50 minute demo Steve Perlman did in a university, and, I'm convinced, the guy really knows what he is talking about. He listed a lot of problems ...

25 - 50 GB is current Gen. Either DD with a setback on quality or no DD. I have a 100 MBit connection and I don't like the idea even if I could download 50GB in 1 hour and some change. The PS4, and I'm certain of that, will start at 50GB+ for the first games and they will get bigger and bigger. We already have up to 3 versions of 1 game on a single disc, SD, HD 720p and FullHD 1080p. Movies alone have surpassed the DVD9 limit with 1080p, and that's just a flat non-interactive stream of images...

Got my US version from Amazon Germany, even the special edition with artbook and soundtrack. No import fees, regular shipping cost and it was just under 60 bucks. My only complaint about the game is the lag, which is not really valid because I did see this one coming, US version -> US servers so. The game is absolutely awesome but it can get really hard sometimes, especially because of all the "what now?" moments that are almost extinct in a time of minimaps and guiding arrows. ...

I've played my first FPS game when I was 10, played games since I was 5, I am 23. I don't even think of killing somebody. Of course I've been influenced by media I was exposed to, but it is the responsibility of the parents to teach their kids what is right and what is wrong.

If you can't do it, don't have kids, it's that simple. Trying to put the blame on something else is the disguise of a coward who can't admit his failure. And that crap about tough times and not enough time t...

1%... are you kidding me? The crusade massakers, the witch hunts. Burning women just for having red hair. Religion can be hold responsible for many of the most horrific moments in history. You can pull numbers all you want, but if the religious people from ~600 years ago would have the kind of technology we would have today, I guarantee you we would not exist anymore. They would wipe out all living beings with nuclear weapons. It is thanks to their stupidity that we st...

What "facts"? The fact that I, and anybody else whose only relation to Sony are their products, give a rats ass about them taking a financial hit? The fact that it doesn't have the slightest impact what so ever on our gaming experience? The fact that their loss is not ours?

Those are some facts for you. Alright here's another one, a console fails on you, who's problem is it? Yours or the manufacturers? And here's the fact: It's YOUR problem! Because Xbox fans have accep...

Yep, because what moron would release a great game in the same genre shortly after a flop, people will be too upset to buy another racing game for some time.

It's not rocket science.

Apparently you know nothing. And describing yourself isn't helping your standpoint in any way.

No Tegra, no buy. Q1 next year and still no Tegra phone in sight from the major manufacturers. Or am I missing something? I was hoping HTC would be quick to jump the Nvidia band-wagon as the Tegra platform looks very promising. In fact, it's pure awesomeness from the looks of it. Quake 3 in full AA with 35 FPS on a freaking phone... Don't you just love technology?

Though I think they don't want to produce in-house competition for the PSP.

What's so flattering about people thinking that you are greedy?

Mircosoft has serious issues if they think it's flattering that people expect them to raise prices.

This should be an insult to anybody who wants to provide a great product for the consumer.

They already said that all BluRay players ever made will be able to play every BluRay disc to come, be it 1, 2, or even 256 layers, It doesn't matter to the player. This was hot news when Panasonic made the 400GB BluRay disc last year. And the official estimated size limitation of BluRay discs is: "Unknown".

Besides, Foxgod, do you even think before you post? Flash memory replacing BluRay? It's like saying cars will replace trains. It's not going to happen. Do you see t...
