I can imagine they've implemented it to keep the punks down, you know, if you act like a jackass in the game you will end up getting killed and stripped of all your gear, leaving you to the embarrassment of running through the city naked.

Exactly, I never even knew a game like this existed (Monster Hunter), until I saw it on the net somewhere, some 4 years after it has been released. Devil May Cry does well in the west, so does Final Fantasy. Both games are made for the Japanese gamers without the west in mind. I think the main problem is the manpower behind movies compared to games. In movies you have multiple professional directors and writers working on one film. In gaming, you often only have one guy who touched on the subject of creative writing in college who is writing the whole story.

Have you ever heard the RROD excuse, that Microsoft is a software company and they are good at that? Funny, almost all of these errors are caused by Microsoft programs, encountered an aweful lot of them myself. They have left one out though, when trying to terminate certain processes in the task manager, while being logged in with the Administrator account, "Warning: Insufficient rights to terminate process." Wow, the stupid OS has more power than the ADMIN of the whole box...

It seemed like it was milked to me when we knew that Halo 3: ODST, Halo Wars, Halo Reach and Peter Jacksons Halo were all coming. That Halo anime, Halo the movie and the Halo Warthog RC cars just add to that.

Read this, these are gameplay enhancements, and I hate this stuff, everyone should have the same ingame experience, whether it's pre-ordered, part of the collectors edition or some special offer. Give some cheap merchandise away with this if it HAS to include anything, or beta keys for an upcoming game, it's the best marketing you can do.
Sony should cut that crap, these preorder bonuses suck. Look at Ratchet and Clank, bonus health, new gadgets etc. Give something like MAG beta keys with the preorder, not gameplay enhancements. Infamous with the gigawatt blades is the same. If they continue to do it like this I hope they make all the content available as DLC at release, still waiting for the gigawatt blades though.
Beta keys, posters, keychains, whatever, but gameplay enhancements suck.
