yeah, that kind of bs needs to be banned. If you're going to offer MTs at least make everything purchasable for one transaction. Not this bs that forces you to spend more and/or leaves you with a pittance left that you can't spend unless you buy more in game currency... You sell 500 tokens then charge 500 for said MT, or split things up into 100 or 250 tokens, etc, etc, etc. This type of MT is the scummiest of scum.
@Elda - according to reports, the contract included that Bungie retained their independence. ie: it doesn't matter what Sony wants, it's up to Bungie to make the decisions on their games and what platforms they will develop and release on. It was a very strange deal, but one that I imagine Bungie had to take solely for the financial backing. Regardless, if the reports are correct Bungie retains final say, not Sony.
lol at all the downvotes - guess everyone forgot the beloved Skyrim dropped in 2011. Not to mention all the other great RPGs along the way such as, but not limited to The Witcher 3 in 2015.... or is The Witcher 3 suddenly not one of the best RPGs.
@dcbronco - try 2 Spiderman games since 2018, plus Miles. The original PS4 Spiderman released on this day in 2018. 5 years + a month & we'll have the sequel. Again, with Miles in between. Say what you will about similarities, but Miles is his own unique character, and a great one at that.
that being said, I don't care about annual output. I care about generational output. That's why I can safely buy a Nintendo and Sony console. Between the two, and PC if ne...
says the person who's first RPG since 2010 was Starfield. There's been a lot of great RPGs released since 2010. This writer needs to game more or expand their horizons.
no doubt. To this day it baffles me when this game gets hate. Sure it wasn't as epic as Lost Odyssey, but in it's own right it was a great game.
send me a pair of those rose tinted glasses.
If I recall both Horizon and GoW were the same. I know for GoW, after release, PS Direct were still selling them. Matter of fact, after a quick look, they still have the $200 GoW edition in stock... If I recall the more expensive editions for both Horizon and GoW sold out well before release.
So this begs the question. Are they available due to the smaller install base, or are they simply making that many more copies of these editions. Granted not having a disc will affect ...
Play-Asia had multi language versions available a few days ago, but only for Switch. I'll stick to the digital for now with the hope we get a Switch or PS release for North America. Pretty sure I've seen somewhere that they want to release a physical edition at a later date... Worst case scenario, though, I'll probably just buy the multi language version in the future if it's still available; if there's still no word on a US release.
still in stock, Swit...
then buy it for $70. You do have that choice, though, you could also buy it on sale. I don't agree with pricing in an age where games are breaking record after record for sales, but that's life now. Everything is either overpriced or grossly overpriced
I don't think anyone will argue having fast travel is a bad thing. However some games can have an overdependence on fast travel that does detract from the game. Especially when some to a lot of the fun in open world games is the exploration, the encounters in the wild, etc. Anyway, I can't recall which game it was but earlier this year I was playing something that made me feel this way. Like with many things it's about finding the right balance. Afterall, I imagine a vast majority...
agreed
this place is an absolute shitshow. I wish they'd clean this shit up and get back to actual news articles and not all this stupid shit.
Just more Hines blowing smoke up the ass of people.
that's just it, journalism has become paid opinions instead of objectively looking at the matters of fact. As a matter of fact this game simply can not be scored a 10 solely due to its issues. Especially but not limited to when you compare it to the standards of modern gaming. 2 cents.
Everyone wants to talk about nintendo getting a pass, but what's happening w/ Starfield, by large swaths of journos is giving the game a pass simply due to it being Bethesda, or becau...
right, at that point it would be considered praise, not a complaint.
it's getting 10's because these jabronis are comparing it to past Bethesda games instead of comparing it to the standards we have today. That's the only thing I can think of.
they're all desperate. We don't need 20 reviews from 20 different countries that fall under the same publication. Just like we don't need 100 reviews from some hole in the wall outlet, nor do we need the outliers looking for a click. Then again, we don't need professional opinions either, but that's what gaming journalism has become. No more matter of fact based reviews, but opinion riddled bs. Regardless, I don't come to N4G to see how games score from every website w...

@generic-user-name - didn't IGN give Starfield a 7.
