them scoring Ninja Gaiden I and II, their deal with Mistwalker that led to Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey, scoring Gears of War from Epic, scoring Lost Planet from Capcom, and obviously Bungie's continued work post acquisition on Halo, Lionheads Fable I and II... It was never really XB who put XB on the map. However, that desire to score games, to bring something great to XB, etc, was the driving force behind that period. If only the continued to invest in exclusives, in partnerships, build...
try harder next time.
part of that is probably due to the dense city. In GoW and Horizon you have less going on with a much wider view of the world. In GoW you also have a confined world that is well crafted. A benefit of linear games. In Spiderman you're in an open, densely populated city consisting of tall building after tall building. Even then the trees, reflections on the buildings windows, the buildings themselves, etc, are all exceptional and look just as good as Horizon or GoW in their own right; at le...
while there are some interesting advertisements using technology, the fact remains they are just that, a sign, an ad, a billboard or whatever else you want to call it. That being said the Armored Core VI Times Square billboard was pretty dope. Regardless of how cool or interesting, it's still just an advertisement/sign/billboard.
@Taco- I feel like that's why most games standardize cut scenes with the default outfit. Making every scene specific to each available costume, or suit in this case, likely takes more manpower and time than it's worth. The only reason I can make this point is due to primarily playing RPGs the past 3-4 years. Time and time again the outfit for cut scenes usually reverts back the original outfit. Sure there have been some exceptions, but even then, clipping, or some visual issue/s still...
Sub model has nothing to do it. A seemingly large portion of gamers are only interested in the latest thing. Jumping from new release to new release... while some games can have a redemption arc they are few and far between....
Wouldn't be an entirely bad thing if we're talking about using the flight from Anthem. The up and go/flight was pretty solid. It was the shooting and other aspects that made Anthem subpar imo. So if we're talking combat then they need to do some work. Granted, even if they opted to use flight from Anthem some work would probably still need to be done regarding fast paced aerial combat. 2 cents
Does it save Sony money though? With inflation, the rising costs in production, shipping, etc this is probably more like a wash. These are strange times we're living in, strange, strange times. Typical convention does not quite apply at present, though, to what degree only Sony know. Just saying
@Stanjara - "you read my comment but at the same time you didn't read" I could say the same to you. I get it, I do. I just wouldn't call it cheap per say.
Also sponge bosses and mobs are in a variety of games. Push up Diablos world tiers, Destiny 2, etc. It's shitty but not something I'd call cheap. I'd be more inclined to call it lazy design, or wonder what else do they could do. In some instances, for lack of a better alternative, it makes se...
I wouldn't call that cheap. Perhaps a bad or questionable design choice, but certainly not cheap. Suppose my only question regarding that is whether or not you can just skip/run past those re-spawned enemies. I mean if you already fought them and don't have/want to fight them again....
I watched Fighting Cowboys review video earlier, and it looks pretty solid, though, there were even some questionable things he pointed out. At this point I'd be inclined to beli...
guess you don't remember how bad those Sony sports titles were in the 90s. The only exception would be NBA Shootout '97 which was phenomenal.
Lol, exactly why I was clicked on this to say.
all about that hamster wheel baby. Some people are just simple, I guess.
@TricksterArrow and anyone else....
FFVII was a single game. The fact that Square has broken this one game into 3 pieces does not mean that this is a sequel. Again, it's a continuation of a single game, Final Fantasy VII. A game in which if you played the original it would take you through all 3 parts Square is remaking. It's simply how Square chose how to sell it, in pieces. Each of the 3 pieces of the remake is one single game remade. idk how that's so diffic...
@CrimsonWing 69 - except, this is not a sequel. It's the continuation of a singular game.
they didn't have the resources because this clown was pocketing all the money. :D
Just a friendly reminder that this game is an absolute gem.
It's not uncommon for some people involved with a game to leave before the game releases. Perhaps thier job is done. Fact of the matter is that no one here knows a dam thing about what is or isn't going on at any given studio. That's a good thing. We don't need to know. All we need is an announcement, trailers, etc, sometime before a games release.
Not even half. We're approaching the start of year 4 come Nov. There's at least 5 more solid years of this Gen imo.
let sleeping dogs lie. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see the series make a comeback some day, but that day would [imo] likely come from Sony giving another studio a shot. Something akin to BluePoint or even House Marquee. A studio who's done work with them that they trust to take it to that next level. 2 cents.
