agree with sure, but unlike Steam, MS and PS who are platform holders, metacritic has no access to knowing who owns which games/movies. I'm not saying they couldn't implement something, but that would likely require access to your purchased games on said platforms along with linking your account w/ metacritic; at the very least. It's one of those comments/things that sound good on paper, but once you put an ounce of thought into it realize it's not a simple measure/fix. There ...
I imagine production isn't the issue. It's people who don't need them taking supply away from the actual demand. Perhaps another issue would be low allotments for various regions due to unexpected demand. I forget the details, but I'm pretty sure an article recently stated something like 70% of PS5s have a disc drive yet something like 80% of game sales are digital. I know I'm a bit off, but I feel like it was somewhere in that ballpark.
That being said,...
while I agree..... there's something to be desired about having that info posted in retailers description; especially at PS Direct. For instance the disc drive. I know it's for both Slim and Pro, but the listings specifically state, "model group – slim" which would lead to confusion amongst typical consumers. The same can be said about the plates which have the same description. If they work with Pro simply update the product listings. If not update to specifically state Sli...
@MT19J - I don't think it's about justifying layoffs. It sucks regardless of who does it, is a bad look, and has put countless people out of a job for no good reason. The difference here, as pointed out by Ein, Bungie is independently run as that was part of the buyout agreement; as reported. No small number of their problems have come from managements decisions at Bungie, not PS. While they are both layoffs they are two different tales. That is what he was pointing out, I think, and ...
as with most things in life, and art, there is more than one way to skin a cat. Creating characters is always a risk for a variety of reasons. However there is room for both characters who receive a series/sequels, and IPs that introduce a new MC in each iteration.
While I liked Jin Sakai I do like that they're moving in a new direction with their next game.
all those influencers/streamers need to get one to flex on the peasants.
Fuuuuuu.... now I want to play as a Panda
Fun fact, Final Fantasy XIV was pulled after release. Yoshida was appointed head & a new version of the game would launch later. Its not common but it's not unprecedented either that a big game gets pulled.
That Sea of Stars DLC, yes please.
meh, I don't know that it's big and open enough for a map. However, since some of the areas do branch and are somewhat open, a map would certainly be a nice addition. Even a generic mini map would probably suffice. That being said I was finishing up Rise of the Ronin so I've only played through Chapter 1 of Wukong; technically hit the first shrine in Ch 2 last night before calling it quits. At this point though, a map would be nice, but the game is relatively linear and easy to na...
Because long time fans don't want it is irrelevant. Long time fans have been gaming for decades & are half way to old timer status. There are new generations & other gamers PS wants/needs to support. Just because it isn't for "us" doesn't automatically mean no market.
I do think a large portion of issues is the pay wall, though, it could be more than just that too. The simple fact is that audience is use to F2P when it comes to this kind of ga...
don't forget Spot and Noid.
I'll take the over
placed an order at 6:56pm EST, no issue. As of this moment it looks like they're still available at Direct too.
I mean, sure it worked, but did it work every single time? If the answer is yes then you were probably just lucky, or more likely, not remembering correctly. Regardless, it did work be that luck or scientific reasons.
The last thing I'd call what is happening in gaming is cancel culture. It's more a collective of raining down hate and vitriol on anything that doesn't fit these clowns tastes and opinions. It's like a vocal subsection of gamers online think that every game should be tailored to them.
just because something is wrong doesn't make it illegal. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I agree with the cheat maker, but if what they are doing isn't "illegal" then the courts may have gotten it wrong. Furthermore, if it is not illegal then good old Government needs to implement laws to protect software companies from exploiters such as this. Again, being wrong isn't necessarily illegal and legality is all that matters in a court of law, or at least it u...
Overworked and underpaid is the Corporate way. Chin up bucko! Work harder, we know you can do it.
Been playing Stellar Blade so haven't touched the DLC yet, but....
each death should be a lesson. The boss battles are dances, not button mashing sequences where you melt the boss. You give, you dance, give some more, go on the defensive, give some more, etc. Not to say there haven't been some PITA bosses in From games for me, but each fight is very much a matter of knowing what to do & when. The perfect balance of challenging but not cheap.
that is undoubtably some accounting shenannigans there. There is no way this game cost over $100 million to make. If for some reason it did then it's no wonder companies are looking toward AI.
