Are games not grand.

always online is annoying. Not that it happens often but when the internet goes down I want to still be able to play whatever I want offline. At the same time so many games nowadays are always online. Just another, of many, reasons why I miss the past. I'm sorry but unless we're talking online [co-op, mp] modes there should be no good reason for always online. It's unfortunate so many companies & games are doing this. Post apocalypse we can toss out this gen and stick with NES...

"When games go into gold status, it means the game is finished and ready to be launch"

Actually it means the game is done and going to print/manufacture so it can then be launched on it's release date. Just saying. Either way, it's going to be an incredibly busy couple months to kick off '17 with game after game dropping a week or two apart.

maybe not worst ever but worst supported, even by Nintendo. A joke of a life cycle, barely any games... We knew they half arsed it going into WiiU but I don't think anyone expected Nintendo would screw it that bad.

yep, just like they've had to in the past. Yet words mean very little when in fact they do not deliver as they say.

Agreed. They never should have put the NG name on that product. While I see why they wanted to do something different they should have left the game sell on it's own merit, or lack thereof in this case. The idea was pretty good but the execution was poor. Furthermore they could have sold it as in the NG realm w/o calling it NG. At the end of the day it had absolutely no business having NG in it's name.

Anyway, while I have faith in the team I think they might not h...

I don't like it. Bring Mario home to the land of mushrooms, pipes & artistic fantasy realms.

It's a neat concept but they dropped the ball on almost everything. Price, cost of accessories, fact you have to pay $70 just to get a real controller for it, specs...

Nintendo has to separate themselves from the competition because they will never beat Sony or MS [well maybe MS this gen] nor do they have the studios or IPs to set themselves apart. Granted they do have some great IPs but not nearly enough & even those don't look great like their predecessors. B...

$70 is a ridiculous money grab if I ever saw one. I broke down and pre-ordered one last night just because amazon had them listed. However, another $70 to get an actual controller? Doesn't even look that great of a controller either. Take the third leg out of the Wavebird and give us that or something similar.

And according to their website they're jumping on the paid online service starting Fall 2017. Questionable indeed.

only reason I'm eye...

Hardly forgotten. But w/o doubt the best ninja game ever created. The strategy, map layout, tools, just so damn good. I am Rikamura, I am the shadow.

P.T is an exception. That was free, a demo, and completely removed from the store and to download for those who have but deleted it. I have it on my old hard drive but I can not re-download it to my current drive. That is a rare exception.

the fact is 60 FPS is not necessary in every game. Of course one could argue even 720p, let alone 1080p or 4k are necessary. Fact is some games benefit while 60 while others are perfectly fine running 30 FPS for many reasons. It depends on the game itself & there will always be room for both. I can care less how many FPS a game has long as it runs smooth and is entertaining' w/in reason of course.

Personally I think advances in resolution are great but there has to...

you were on point until the last few sentences. Thing is they can release artwork. Then again, they do that and some other studio starts working on something similar; not that it would really matter. And it would be a waste of time and money to produce an in game preview to show. What they wouldn't do, even now, is give us a video or pics that we say, oh that is so last gen....

Fact is I'm all for not hearing about a game until closer to release. It's nice that ...

never happen. this has been an ongoing issue for 2 decades or longer. Only us old farts remember it.

pencil me in as a skeptic. This IP is incredibly difficult to work with. Reading some comments I do see several ideas that could make a Superman game interesting. However, finding the story, enemies, story, balance, game mechanics and everything else, well, just seems unlikely to be executed. If true Rocksteady definitely has their work cut out.

No doubt. I played it for several hours & didn't have a problem. I read quite a few complaints about how Trico acts. Honestly, Trico was great when I played and while the controls weren't explained in detail it was incredibly easy to figure them out if you have half a brain. It took minimal time for me to get him to go or do what I wanted him to.

no doubt. I can't remember the last time I had so many great games to play. There was a few months there that were incredibly weak but it's been a pretty solid year. Best in a while, for me, that's for sure.

Love the Kai Play Arts but boy are they overpriced. Then again, seems like everything other than video games are overpriced nowadays. Broke down and bought the Spiderman figure from Amazon because of the price and while it's awesome, it's not nearly as nice as the pics portray it to be. For the price, sure beats those crappy Marvel Selects figures. I have a Spiderman figure from 2001-2002, just your regular movie figure that is better than Marvel Select or all that other cheap stuff t...

yep, Japanese are Gamers! They run out and buy the game right away. Americans, not so much. You get the initial rush, word of mouthers, review whores, sales whores then there's that large group who instead supporting games rent them instead & so on. Seriously though, when has Japan not had a huge RPG sell like hot cakes first week then drop into the abyss? Persona 5 was probably even the same.

I certainly prefer my stereo setup but the Gold & it's 7.1 virtual surround are great. It's crazy just how nicely the virtual 7.1 nails surround sound. My only complaint is the lack of titles who support the headset app for customized audio. Default sounds nice but those custom presets really shine while playing the specific game. Destiny I use a ton since I was more often than not in party chat, Driveclub was solid, there were a few others i used as well. Just wish more developer...

the magic system does leave something to be desired. That being said just fill up your flask with an element then the bottom slot, use different items to create various concoctions and strengths. It's actually easy once you get the jest of it. There's actually far more to it than just Fire, Blizz and Thunder magic. Hope that helps some.

I have a few trivial complaints with one more serious complaint but overall I'm still enjoying it a ton. I have about 80 hours...
