Are games not grand.

amazon is sold out of even the regular version. I was waiting hoping that Special or Master would pop up when I realized about a week ago that if I even keep my pre-order for the Switch I'll be w/o a game now because no form of Zelda is even available.

@davand114

That's just it. It's not a Limited Edition. It's a Special and Master Edition. Arguably you can call anything a Limited Edition. Even the game itself as it is limited in copies. Sure there's a million+ copies but it's still 'Limited' so... So ok, exclude Master Edition. Why are there so few Special Editions? How many of each were made to fulfill a portion of supposed 2 million Switch consoles at launch? The fact is that Limited doesn&#...

no doubt. I'd disgusting just how few copies were made. I'm sitting here with a Switch pre-order but can't get the Special or Master edition pre-ordered? Needless to say, for many reasons, one of which being this, I'll likely cancel my Switch order and wait there's more substance to make it worth buying one. At a console launch Nintendo really should have prepared better. Dam near everyone buying a Switch right now wants the Special or Master edition or Zelda because the o...

same, grew up on NES and the last Nintendo console I bought, still own, is the Gamecube. and w/o a doubt, confidence or lack thereof is a big problem. I think everyone wants a Switch there's just no to little confidence in Nintendo at this point. Back then you knew Nintendo was going to deliver. It was them & Sega or them and PS later on. Over the past decade or so Nintendo has played second or third fiddle. If not for the fad of Wii or perhaps even DS Nintendo possibly would have bee...

not quite what I was going to say but indeed. The landscape was definitely different to say the least.

chances are walk in orders require some $500+ bundle. Guess to those who have to have that isn't a problem.

My only complaint is where are the copies of Zelda special edition? It's not limited, come on Nintendo.

I think for $300 they could have at least given us some storage space. Maybe twice as much with 64 GB or even 128 GB. $300 for the Switch, another $40 for an extra 128 GB micro card, arguably another $70 for an actual controller; personally I'll wait and see if it's truly necessary or if I can get by with the dog face grip that comes w/ the Switch.

When it comes to specs we know it's somewhat underwhelming. My biggest concern is their screen. However, there is...

the problem for Mass Effect is a very lively release window. Horizon Zero Dawn, Nintendo Switch w/ Zelda, Neir, Ghost Recon, Mass Effect then the following week Kingdom Hearts 1.5+2.5 and another week later Persona 5. As much as I too want Mass Effect, it might be sacrificed for the time being. I picked up a backlog w/ Christmas sales and am slowly working through Nioh right now. Then starting Feb 28 through March; hate to say but it's TOO much for once lol. Even so I think Mass Effect wi...

Sorry Nintendo, I don't want to come back in 3 months, 6 months or more just to keep playing a game I'm done with. There are plenty more fish to fry in the sea of gaming. I mean if you're some weird gamer who only plays Final Fantasy or Zelda I can see these Season Passes being interesting but to most others, we want to sit down, enjoy the game from start to finish and if anything replay it a year, two years or more down the road. This whole thing just reminds me why I hate DLC an...

hate when that happens. under score is better than Klonoa1, 123, etc. ;)

Apparently it's been so long since I signed into Nintendo they tossed out my email address and account.

probably someone just creating hundreds of accounts stealing all the great names people want. You can buy the username Klonoa and many others on ebay in a week or two for $25-100.

if not the only you are one of very few. ;) to each their own though. Some people just have more use, desire, what have you for handheld over console.

the vita is great though. I'm happy I bought one but at the same time regretful. I knew even with the PSP I didn't have room or desire for handhelds but like the PSP bought the Vita anyway. Sadly it's mainly useless to me, though it does have some fantastic games & is a great device. I do really wish Square ...

Best Buy should have several copies of almost any if not every new game. Problem in part I think with Nioh was that pre orders were low. Even Amazon.com was sold out and had Nioh on back order once it released that still shows an estimate of 1-2 months to ship. Back to pre orders. Best Buy, like Amazon and likely other marketplaces likely look at this and partially base their decision on how many copies to order. Also for years it seems a lot of these stores don't want to overdue unless i...

@ ravinash

if you can get the first one you better grab it. I decided to wait for several reasons, one being I have it on Vita. Figured I'd wait till it drops to $40 or less. Well, I was on Amazon last night and cheapest being sold is at $99.xx from 3rd party sellers. I'd imagine that it was a pretty limited run so if there's supply out there, anyone interested better act soon; I think. Now that I think if it Gravity Rush 2 probably saw a pretty limited print s...

actually it doesn't say anything about the studio being part of Square Enix. My guess is Baba left Bandai Namco and started this new company. First of which is likely a publishing/funding deal with Square for this game. Even on the Project Istolia website there's no mention of SE; at least not in English. Guess in time we'll know more.

The mascot looks great and the game will surely be incredible if it's on console. Chalk it up as one I'm definitely keep...

I understand Sony's position but... Thing is they could set a time limit or lock on it. That shouldn't be too hard to implement on the software side. Your average PSN user doesn't need to change their name weekly, monthly or even annually for that matter. Sony could make it so PSN users can change their name once every so many years; 3-4 would be fine. Once changed the username locks and displays a countdown saying this accounts name can not be changed until X years/days/minutes, ...

as I've said over the years and again more recently. There really isn't much if any innovation in gaming. Even when something is called innovative the fact is that same thing was likely done and forgotten about. Gaming, games, don't necessarily have to be innovative. They just have to be good, look good, play good, etc. And when you can bring a good, new IP into the fold of annual titles who cares about innovation, it's something new and refreshing even if it doesn't '...

@ Poseph.

If you look at the announced games list you'd see, definitely not anything amazing... First year there honestly isn't too much to get excited about outside Zelda. There's Mario Kart, Splatoon 2 (if that's your thing), Sonic Mania, Super Mario Odyssey (which has no business being in NY) along with Monster Boy (also available on PS4/XB/PC) and Wonder Boy (likely same as previous) both of which are 2d side scrollers. Zelda was brought over to sell sy...

It needs 3rd parties because Nintendo alone won't bring enough. But in 3rd party I don't mean multi console titles. I mean exclusive 3rd party games. Nintendo is somewhat of a 2nd console to a majority. When it comes to 3rd party most gamers will buy CoD, Madden, whatever, on PS4 or XB1. But to say Nintendo doesn't need 3rd party is a huge mistake. Nintendo studios will not pump out enough games of interest for the vast majority of gamers. Zelda, Mario Kart, Mario later this year,...

if you think Nier gets better than an 83 on Metacritic you're fooling yourself. Plus who gives a crap about Metacritic or it's scores. People should know which games are good and that they'll enjoy without referring to that awful site. And honestly there isn't much if anything truly groundbreaking in gaming today. Just bits and pieces of genres pieced together to enhance games and genres. Fact is both games are going to be great and worth owning/playing.If need be Nier can wai...
