I'm mixed. I love Souls games but at the same time maybe it's time to move on. I can replay Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, Bloodborne and even Dark Souls 3 time and time again though a Remaster of DS would be much appreciated.... DS3 invaders are a bunch of cheap ass punks. we'll see. The delay was to release the game worldwide on the same date. What baffles me is why these were shipped to the distributor, retailers so early. In cases like this the game is always leaked early. Normally a Ma n Pop or in the UAE but it's still out there and the very reason it was delayed now becomes an issue. To prevent spoilers across the globe this was pushed to a worldwide release date so all gamers could start playing the same day.

At the very most we're looking at $399. However this should be a pricing year so I wouldn't be surprised if it was priced at $350 w/ Holiday sales going for $300. It's still relatively early so I don't see Sony dropping down to $300. The upgrades aren't coming at a cost to consumers. Rather a way for Sony to retain it's current pricing or justify why there's only been a $50 decrease in pricing. Think of this as the first iteration of PS4 Slim. 2 cents

That is one nice thing about Souls games. You have the option to choose your class and play style & can alter it through leveling so you're not locked into one specific thing. Although at the same time it was refreshing in Bloodborne being able to just play. I can appreciate both but having options does open things up.

I always said this game wasn't going to have legs. For a couple weeks I did really get into and enjoy it but the blueprint isn't there to sustain longevity. After a month with the game I did what I never do. Sold my copy on Amazon. I highly doubt they'll leave it to rot soon but I hardly see this being a game that has sustained success and active player base. After this seasons DLC they just might scrap it for Division 2 slated for 2017.
if refers to whether or not it's called Playstation still. Perhaps after 4 consoles & 2 handhelds Sony feels it's time to create a new name, new identity for their brand. There's no question we'll see another Sony console but even that is likely a good half decade away.
I'm with ya BosS. Just call them Remasters. Technically one can argue they're 720p or whatever being upgraded to native 1080p but regardless these were originally HD games. So call them Remasters at best.

I really appreciated the fact they gave me the game in it's standard Day 1 case & packaging plus the steelbook as an addition. Not just some fancy packaging of the game in a steelbook. And that steelbook looks incredible!

To each their own and I'm probably a minority but I'd say it only ruins the game if you're using the exploit. For everyone else it's business as usual. If people need to find a bug to lvl up and beat the game then there's cheasy mode for all those crying out for it. All those complaining and wanting cheasy, jump in the souls are available. :P

I'm not sure how it works but people see these as free. Thing is I imagine Sony pays the developer/publisher a certain price either per download or a flat rate to offer these games for free. These games most likely aren't given to Sony so they can offer them for Free to PS+ subscribers.

that's just it. You can never please everyone. As individuals our expectations, taste, opinion, interests, the fact we (most) have the ability to freely think mean that as individuals there will never be one thing that pleases all.
Unfortunately with the internet, self entitled, unrealistic expectations, and so on we hear far too often and far too many of these complaints.

one of the many complaints over the years has been the fact they need to segregate these two elements. It's a balance in PvP but a nerf in PvE. Until Bungie decides to segregate weapons for PvE and PvP this is something they will find themselves constantly tinkering with.

the only true measure of a campaign would be story related trophies. Those that are truly unmissable by playing the game. Trophies for Complete Mission 1, etc.
