When I heard this I was wondering if this won't change once the paid network rolls out. Doesn't make much sense but at the same time, for Nintendo, it would make perfect sense.
that's what i did. And i finally cancelled my pre-order Tues night. For whatever reason I couldn't find Zelda on amazon until days after the pre-orders went up and Zelda SE along with the Master were already sold out. So if I can get Zelda SE I will likely buy a Switch asap otherwise I'll just wait until I actually have nothing else to play or until there are more games than Zelda to make the Switch worth owning, to me. With Nioh, Horizon, Neir, Ghost Recon, a few games in backlog...
and are they selling? That is perhaps the biggest question. It's one thing to ask X for something but that'd doesn't necessarily mean they are selling. From what I saw last night there were plenty of Switch available on ebay for $300-400 though and while there were absurdly priced units I highly doubt anyone was actually paying that.
the only correct answer is both. Of course if you don't have a Switch/WiiU then right now it's HZD and Zelda when/if you get one gets a Switch. End of the day though, both should be the only answer!

while i agree with Raids I do think Xur should be there one more day. Though aside from 3 of coins which one may or not need he's really useless after a while anyway. The rolls tend to be garbage and it's likely players have anything he offers through Exotic chests, 3 of coins or Nightfalls. Bungie never likes what they themselves with the game so are constantly changing, removing and doing things. It's not surprising they of all people want a fresh start only to realize that isn't to their liking and start changing, removing, nerfing, etc Destiny 2. How many more Christmases should MS get? They're starting to look like Nintendos' lineup with the sole exception MS does get full 3rd party support. replace Mario and Zelda with Halo and Gears. At least last gen they had a couple fantastic RPGs in Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon. I think this E3 could be a defining moment for MS and they need to deliver not only at the show but with releases coming w/in the next year.
the Wii U is a little more detailed while the Switch seams a bit white washed or cloudy. Overall they are nearly identical though.

to each their own but there are several games announced worth purchasing but that is about it. However, aside from Zelda [now] and Mario later this year there isn't much in the foreseeable future. Dragon Quest, Xenoblade Chronicles, Fire Emblem ('17?), untitled SMT and Untitled Namco Bandai project are all TBA. And if you don't like RPGs that pretty much leaves Zelda and Mario as the only offerings for a lot of gamers.

I don't think people need to warm up to the Switch, Most are warm to it. Everyone with any ounce of love toward gaming wants one if nothing more for Zelda. Onimusha, while great, was a pure slasher action/adventure game. The only similarities are the fact they are set in a particular location; Japan. I mean you could say Nioh is like Genji as well but that doesn't hold quite true. Aside from the fact they are Samurai based games. Nioh, in every form other than aesthetics is nothing like Onimusha or Genji.
