then they should have waited for the open beta or just waited for reviews if they were that indecisive about whether or not to buy the game. I think once a portion of a bonus is taken you shouldn't be able to ask for a cancellation or refund w/o repercussion. For all we know some people had no intention of buying the game and wanted to sell the Beta code. Either way, you took a bite of the cookie.
I liked it. I had the Closed and Open beta for 1 but never played them. With Destiny 2 I wanted to get a glimpse of the changes and the demo, or beta as it's officially known was perfect. A friend did complain about there not being an open area like in the Original Destinys' beta. While it would add extra play I'd rather explore that at release. I thought the beta was just what I wanted and expected, a glimpse. Play the first story mission, strike, and Crucible to see some of the ...
Breath of Fire on there? If no that should be.
First off, I don't see some stupid gear, 1 exclusive Strike (D1s wasn't even that great), and an exclusive Exotic should deter anyone from not buying a copy on either PC or XB. I will say I'm not a fan of that crap but this all started last Gen with MS purchasing DLC First which is more hurtful for a game on other platforms. By the time that content drops on PS4 most people moved on because that DLC was too little, too late. In Destiny's case it's trivial stuff. As a colle...
it really depends on the game. I have no problem with Destiny being online but for something that I buy because of it's campaign, w/ little to no online to it I expect to be able to play offline. Let's keep in mind that Destinys' worlds likely requires online for many core functions the game does. Furthermore, not that it happens terribly often but it does happen, when my internet goes out it would be nice to have something I can play. All too often I find myself stuck being force...
the only risk with being an early adopter is having to wait for substance; ie games. Granted Nintendo doesn't have the best track record of bringing software but they have shown some great stuff that is in development. Just like any console, the unfortunate truth is that it only [maybe] gets better with age once a decent amount of software is available.
burnout or you grew tired of it and felt it was time to move on?
I get burned out simply because I play games too much. Sometimes it's not a matter of what but a matter of stepping back and taking a break. Other games you get burned out and it just becomes frustrating. Some games the lack of new content (Destiny) is a good reason to put it down and pick something else up. To me burnout though is when you play too dam much and simply need to take a frekn break.
you mean $200. Cheapest bundle Gamestop had was $500 I thought.
After cancelling my pre order a few days before launch. I guess, E3 got me excited enough and I was able to pick one up Monday at Shopko of all places. They don't carry crap for games which is probably why they actually some in stock.
Reason #1 you're not sold on GoW. You never liked or played them to begin with
I will admit, not having the blades is a bit worrisome but w/o doubt Santa Monica Studios will find a way to make the combat with those Axes [and whatever else] great. This game is going be another Epic GoW title.
idk, after cancelling my pre-order a few days before launch I was still able to get one the other day. Fact is, like everything that is manufactured, they can only make so many per day which go to retailers across the globe. It's unfortunate and even more so than Nintendo has a habit of doing this but it is what it is.
Heavy Rain was really good. I personally love Beyond Two Souls though. Either way you cut it these are a different breed but both are incredible games. End of the day I'm sure Detroit will be interesting and a good play at the very least.
I like throwing rocks so am constantly searching for more. 12k rocks and counting.
Always funny seeing the insane numbers. Some good stuff
frame rate is relative to the game. Personally I have no issue with 30 FPS. yes some games are great largely in part due to running in 60 FPS but so are plenty of games running 30 FPS. Some games it's imperative they run in 60 FPS while others, well, it doesn't matter because 30 FPS is absolutely great. Personally I can care less as long as the game looks great, runs smooth, plays fine and isn't riddled with bugs. Granted if the FPS dip too low we have an issue but 30, 60 really d...
I couldn't really dig or get into those handheld exclusives. I tried playing some of them on 1.5 and 2.5 HD. Kingdom Hearts is an absolutely fantastic series though, at lest the main titles are.
The latest video I saw for KH3 is looking phenomenal. With so many games coming out between Fall-Spring and even likely Fall '18 I'm in no rush. Just hope it does end up being wrapped up and out sometime in '18 or early '19 at the latest.
@fALLEN. hardly skewed. that extra month or two is often too little too late. DLC needs to be pushed out in a timely fashion and time exclusivity only hurts the game while pissing off gamers who want to enjoy it and keep playing.
Exclusives have been a part of console history from Day 1. It's one thing to ink a deal or pay for a game to be made exclusively for your console. While it's not always a good thing for consumers it's what sets apart consoles.
early December is a bad time considering all the deals and cheap games going up on for sale before Christmas. You never see many if any games really releasing after November anymore & certainly not big titles like Days Gone. Plus there's Destiny 2 early September, CoDs annually title, AC, Sonys' own GT Sport and whatever else. At best, if not in Oct-Nov it would likely be Jan-Feb w/ GoW likely falling mid-late March. idk if it's Christmas sales or the annual juggernaughts but ...
the Italians already shot anyone who would say such things about Mario.
was there really any other new IPs announced? Mario+Rabbids, Metroid 4 which wasn't even shown & Anthem. Rest were pretty much all seen or announced previously. Though I probably am forgetting several titles or new IPs that were announced. Not to take away from Anthem though, it did look phenomenal and can't wait to play it along with Spiderman, GoW, and a TON of other games in 2018. I just hope Bioware can avoid some of the pitfalls Bungie have had w/ Destiny and pitfalls Ubi hav...
Nintendo won E3? Mario+Rabbids was fantastic. Mario Odyssey looks great even though I still hate that NY world. Fire Emblem is always going to smash it, Xenoblade as well. Yoshi kinda failed, they could have done so much better. Kirby looks interesting. No footage of Metroid 4 means that's likely to take a while before we see anything. Almost as if they pushed that teaser for those on the fence looking for more software before making a purchase. I think they had a strong showing but I wou...
the problem with your logic is that Destiny 2 has an open Beta starting today, July 21 for everyone who didn't pre order. I do think more could have been done to state that the pre-order is early access to the Open Beta but whatever. Fact is the Beta is FREE starting today running until Sunday. All that pre-ordering did was grant you 3 xtra days to play the demo, or I mean beta if you want to call it that.
