I find it hard to believe it's deserving of a 6/10. Guess we'll see whenever i get around to playing it but still... At the very least I'd imagine this is a 7-8. Kind of a shame to see though because CD has really been nailing this reboot.
it looks like a great game to get a solid month out of. Like a Tom Clancy Game or Destiny once fresh content drops. You get in, enjoy it, finish it up in a month and be done with it. Developers don't have the balls to release a game that has the content or blueprint for sustainability. I have my concerns with Anthem and Bioware probably won't deliver but we'll see. Long as I get that solid month of fun that's all I'm expecting anyway. Though I do hope I'm wrong and Ant...
Sony owns the Movie rights to Spiderman. Not the character across the board. Video game, Merchandise, everything else Spiderman still falls under the roof of Marvel. As we know Fox owns the X-Men license for Movies which is likely one reason Disney strongly pursued a buyout of Fox To bring everything Marvel under their roof; except Spiderman of course.
As for Video Game licensing. That's always been another matter. It was one reason Capcom was always unable to re-releas...
If Anthem can pull off flying in the Javelins then I could see Iron Man becoming something worth while. However, how to structure the game so that ground combat feels great would possibly be my biggest concern? I can definitely see flight combat feeling and being great.... Not to say Iron Man can't be done but like anything else any developer to tackle such a project has a TON of work on their hands and needs to execute on so many different levels.
replace the voice actor.
and yet they did the same thing going into the 360 by purchasing studios and exclusive deals for software. How quickly they forgot that software is the cornerstone of any system. Perhaps this time around they'll hang onto those studios and continue to grow as a developer. But they've pulled this once before so I'm not buying it until prolonged support is shown, not touted and talked about.
while I'd still love one I have to agree. It looks like a letdown. While I'd be happy to have one I'd also be incredibly let down. The statue isn't what was shown simply based off Spidermans stance. Guess that's why, to the best of my knowledge, they never did show the final product this Summer. And for the price, yes, it's small and they went overly complicated with cramming in all the characters features. On top of that the price of $130. Forget how much Horizon Zero...
what's funny is it actually looks better post E3. That E3 video has a shiny radiance to it. Like Spiderman and some of the assests, charcters are action figures. The release video is colorful and true. Showing the lack of polish at E3 and showing the finished product at final release. at least imo. And this is exactly what one should expect of a game in development...

I had a blast with XV when it released. I thoroughly enjoyed it though the story, revolving only around Noctis was ill conceived. Splitting the characters story lines and packaging them as DLC was a major blow to the overall quality of the game as well. An RPG is one genre that needs to be packaged as a story driven experience; imo. XV's story would have been much better if they split off those characters as playable side missions instead of disappearing acts during the story. I don't...
It's not just Sony titles selling out though. Yes there was an issue with Amazon and Sony that developed this year. They didn't even carry MLB The Show 18 at all physically. But it's not just Sony games that are selling out. Monster Hunter Sold out and I'm pretty sure there were at least 1 or 2 other non Sony titles sold out before or shortly after release for a while too. Yes the fact it wasn't available for pre-order this past year goes back to a probable riff with Sony....
come on now, they also make Slot Machines
The problem with Destiny stems from at least a year before the first game released. When they scratched the entire story because it wasn't accessible to the casual gamer or to the dumb azzes out there... With D1 they built what ended up being a great game over the years but lacked direction and story. They completely scrapped everything that they learned, everything that made Destiny when they developed D2. Completely botching the game from top to bottom. The only thing they got right was...
Is this really a surprise? I mean for months the game hasn't even been available to pre-order at Amazon. It wasn't until the past, less than a week they were accepting more pre-orders. Crap, even the CE sold out instantly and I didn't even get a chance to order one at Amazon. Had my eye on the game page since the CE was announced and one day I wake up to see it finally posted but unavailable.
Also, it seems Amazon isn't stocking too many copies of a lot of ...
SSD won't happen. However, I wouldn't mind a little larger of a console if it meant putting a desktop hdd instead of a laptop hdd inside it.
Whatever they decide it's likely this will be the 3rd generation in a row I've had to upgrade my hdd out the box though.
Is it a valid point? Why isn't there an Okami 2? People loved that game but Capcom didn't even give Clover Studios the time of day. When it's initial sales were so low they shuttered the studio. Sony gave Evo Studios years to continue DC support... The fact the studio has long since been shuttered makes this question self explanatory. Who's left to develop it? Polyphony? They spend as much development if not more working on GT titles.
Driveclub was dumped o...
I wouldn't say a lot and personally I wouldn't count those crappy, cash grab movie based plug ins either. But if you do count those, yeah, there's been a lot of movie tie ins. But only 2 games I can think of that are stand alone & worth a damn. Ultimate Spiderman which was phenomenal on the PS2 and the upcoming Spiderman from Insomniac.
This just proves what most of us already figured. The Rewards programs at all retailers have been shut down by Publishers.
At least Amazon will offer $10 off toward future purchase which will help. But how many games will actually offer this. Already not every game fell under the 20% off and I have a bad feeling the $10 credit is reserved for AAA titles but we'll see...
Insomniac already said the CE Sold Out and there are no plans to produce more. So no, don't hold your breath. Amazon sold out before I even realized it was posted and I was looking Day 1 of the CE announcement. I almost ordered from somewhere else a month ago but grudgingly didn't, Much as I'd like to this is one I'll have to miss.
and that's been my problem with gaming journalism for probably 2 decades. It should be less of an opinion and more of an unbiased review based off the games merits. Take the game for what it does, doesn't do, technical aspects, technical flaws, story, etc. Not what your 2 cents are. Journalism is about cold hard facts. Not feelings and opinions.
