they don't ship until early December if I recall.
they suckered me in. Couldn't resist those NES pads they were offering. Besides, what's $20. It's almost worth preventing the small hassle of pulling my NES out and hooking it up when I want to play Mario, Tecmo, etc. Though I still need to anyway to play Battletoads and many other NES games. Thing is though, unless they offer some nice deals through the year this will likely be the only year I subscribe. Those NES joycons were just too enticing.
Guess I should have waited 1 week. Was going to wait till Black Friday but since I got the Platinum Plaque in Spiderman last week I decided to pick up TR. Oddly enough I've played it for only 35 minutes this past week Lol.
sure, now that I finally broke down and replaced my tattered white OG Golds for a pair of new Black ones....
well deserved. this game is phenomenal and a blast to play with friends.
Already got the Platinum. though I did only get about half the secret photo ops. Maybe I'll get the rest when I play the DLC.
@ginganinja
that's the thing. here in the US employees are completely expendable. About the only protection we get is FMLA. Essentially allowing us to take 3 months leave for medical issues. Other than that, yeah, we're expendable and companies don't give two craps about the people who make the company run. Granted there are certainly exceptions but for the most part the US and it's legislation could learn A LOT from European countries regarding workers rights and pro...
I really don't remember MvC3 so I could be wrong but... wasn't it built using the MT Framework they were using at the time? The engine they used for Resident Evil 5, Lost Planet, etc. Where as the latest edition probably used the SFV engine making it much easier since all they had to do is develop the worlds and create the characters. Perhaps that was a portion of the problem. They just used a copy/paste method and didn't spend enough time polishing it or setting it apart. Obvious...
honestly, I'm somewhat surprised they've lasted this long. While I have Batman I've yet to play it. And even that I bought because it was like $10 @amazon Black Friday '16 but all episodes weren't even available at the time of purchase so I shelved it. Thing is w/o even having played their titles it seems like they definitely did a great job with the IPs they worked on. But you're right, after so long of developing games that all have the same artistic design and play....
Would be great if Valkyrie Profile was on it. I broke down and sold my copy for $250 a while back. Seriously though, Metal Gear Solid, Syphon Filter, Gran Tursimo 1 or 2, Suikoden 1 and 2, Legacy of Kain, Castlevania SoTN, Resident Evil 1 and/or 2, D.... that just scratches the surface & neglects the titles already announced. 20 games really isn't enough. They should do 50!!
@SickSinceSix
OG!! though 3D too would be fine.
nice list. the OG Wolfenstein, Doom and Duke Nukem are musts.... I know there were a lot of others I can't recall so off the top of my head the only thing I can think to add would be Arkanoid. that game was so much fun with that stupid bouncing ball and bricks. Then more recently games like Starcraft, Diablo, etc. I'm think OG PC though like late 80s early, early 90s.
I understand some gamers didn't grow up during these generations and even those who did lacked the hindsight or possibly ability to keep these consoles but... Personally, I've kept most of my consoles and while I've sold off quite a few games through the years I have kept most of the important titles for each respective system. If I want to play NES, Genesis, Gamecube, PS, PS2 or PS3 games all I have to do is hook them up. Even though they are in storage they are easily accessible...
that's what I was thinking. Any notable games I have for my NES. I'd rather load up Bases Loaded or RBI than play that baseball game. I already have Ice Hockey, Tecmo Bowl and Super Tecmo. Obviously I have classics such as Mario 1-3, Yoshi, Dr Mario, Zelda, Link, Exitebike, Double Dragon, Ghosts n Goblins along with a ton not shown. While a small collection at roughly 50 games I still own a good majority of what I want to play on NES. Also, since I replaced the cartridge reader years ...
flight in general tends to seem like a near impossible feat. We'll see how Anthem handles the flight mechanic with their javelin suites but.... no, I can't think of a single game that nailed flight. There's been some games to try tackling it but none have done so very successfully. Wait, Nights into Dreams on the Saturn was solid in it's time. I suppose Panzer Dragoon or Ace Combat but both are more a vehicle providing flight than a character flying.
With I...
talk about milking the cow. I will admit though. the fact that they're exclusive is kind of nice. I mean it's not like availability is going to be an issue because scalpers bought them all up. I don't like how it's set up to prevent this alone it's probably worth going the route Nintendo chose to. 30+ year old controllers w/ a Switch Rail and LiOn battery are $30 each though? Makes me reconsider and just keep hooking up the NES when the mood strikes.
I read this the other day and thought it sounds like there's more to it. idk if this article mentions it but he said she left her a few weeks ago and is dating his brother. but somewhere in between, in the middle is the truth as there's always more to a story than one side. Unless it's filmed and documented as evidence/proof of course Lol
I think more trophy lists need to be like this. Rewarding to those who sink in the time to complete the game, complete side missions, etc. Often times games just have some absurd or ridiculous trophies in them. A Platinum shouldn't necessarily be about how hard a developer can make obtaining it but about how much of the game was finished. Granted not every game should have this simple trophy list rewarding completion and some games should have trophies for difficulty levels but I think mo...
I want to have my cake and eat it to. One is no better than the other. Both do everything excellent and are pure, simple gaming fun at it's finest. Yes Second Son was a bit of a step back but inFamous as a franchise has been every bit gaming perfected just like Spiderman. Both take the crown
true that. I honestly don't know that I'll play this one. While Origins was a great game it didn't feel like an Assassins Creed. Now they're flipping the script even further it seems. I wouldn't say the series needs to die but it appears another year off and going back to it's roots would be in order.
