Are games not grand.

No doubt. While there may be no plans for Season Passes or DLC in the immediate future that doesn't necessarily mean anything in the grand scheme. Short term, yeah, great, hopefully they deliver. But I'd say there's a great chance we'll see paid for content by next Fall. I don't see EA/Bioware trying to keep players engaged w/o charge for 1-2+ years. Especially not while adding the meaty content that is going to be required.

My biggest concern is how mu...

the problem with post launch is that often times this content comes too little too late. Games such as these need an end game system and content that keeps players engaged after the campaign has ended. Not to say Anthem doesn't have anything. But often times this extra stuff that should have been released day 1 simply pops up too late or is tacked on as added DLC for cash. There's nothing wrong with a Season Pass/DLC model providing additional content to keep players engaged but thes...

Id argue it's a great game, just lacks a great story. Not to say the story is terrible but "I have a plan" time and time again grows old and absurd. They definitely could have flushed out and created a better story with some better narrative. At the end of the day the story was decent enough.

Plus having gone from RDR2 to Assassins Creed Odyssey it's easy to appreciate just how great RDR2 and the horse mechanics are. Now I'm onto Dragon Quest which to...

I wouldn't say the story was bad. Though it definitely could have been better.

End of the day this is Spiderman. The game play and game itself was simply a pleasure and blast. Not every single game needs a flushed out and perfect story like The Last of Us. Don't get me wrong, story lines and narrative are important. They did do a great job of bringing all these villains together to work w/ Mr Negative and ended the game with a, not so surprising bang. Perhaps they p...

I recall there being a Deadliest Catch game or two last gen. No doubt, just a half baked game trying to cash in.

most Companies tend to avoid using Merry Christmas due to a vast difference in beliefs among their consumer base. Plus Christmas is one day. So instead of Merry Christmas which focuses on one day they use Happy Holidays which includes Christmas, Kwanzaa, Boxing Day, New Years Eve/Day, possibly Hanukkah which takes place in early December and all other other special days that take place during this time of year. It's simply the check all boxes, can't go wrong phrase.

yeah, in the US, each year for the past 2-3 I've received an email showing my yearly accomplishments. Forget exactly how detailed or what, if anything, other than trophies were listed.

Honestly, while this is cool I don't even know that I want to know exactly how many hours I have into PS4. It;s very likely I'd be up into 5 digit game play hours.

I didn't have much interest in this AC and through the first 15-20 hours I wasn't even sure I'd finish much of what the game offered. I felt the same about other AC games and some ended up being one of my favorites. Not the case here. It probably didn't help having played RDR2 right before AC either. RDR2 started slow but once you got going it was such a pleasure to enjoy the open world completing Legendary Huts and Fishing, exploring, etc. One of the worst parts of going from...

I'll add to that saying why is this a question when both are so different and entertaining in their own rights. Spidermans & it's sandbox was an absolute blast. So was Red Deads. But respectfully great. And as someone else pointed out, Sand box, Open World... Both were absolutely classics imho and I had equal fun playing them both. From getting the Platinum in Spiderman to having over a 90% total completion of RDR2 having done all the Legendary Hunts, Fish, and many other side obj...

I will agree that it looks like it could use more polish, perhaps a lot more. It has my interest peaked but I'll wait until I see more video and hear more details. If the visuals get the polish they need, combat is solid and game entertaining then great. If not, this will probably sell like hotcakes anyway but I'll pass.

As others are suggesting. I wouldn't be surprised if this drops on XB/PS in 2020. the video just states "Exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2...

sport defined
"an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment."

So by definition, yeah, gaming isn't a sport but who cares what they call competitive gaming. Well, I guess there are some games that can technically be called a sport such as Dance Dance Revolution in an arcade. Wait, do we still even have arcades. And yeah, I don't think anyone is confusing E-Spo...

you'd be surprised how many people bought the Dark Souls 3 Collectors Edition Strategy Guide and complained that it didn't come with the game LMFAO.

I get it though, yes it should go w/o saying that when purchasing a Collectors/Limited Edition of a game that the game itself is also included. Or when purchasing a Collectors/Limited Edition Strategy Guide that the game doesn't come with it.

I certainly don't commend Bethesda for releasing a hot buggy mess but when it comes to software sales once the game is open retailers don't accept returns or offer refunds. Why should this be an different. Granted in some rare cases one might be able to get a manager or employee who doesn't know better to approve a refund but every single stores policy on software is no returns once opened. If defective you can exchange it for a shiny new copy.

While they certa...

funny you mention that because lately I've been thinking I'm getting spoiled due to the quality and quantity of great games releasing this gen and even last. Which in turn often end up making decent games look atrocious. Since the end of the PS2 era games have gotten so much better across the board. The younger generation wouldn't even know just how buggy, bad and stale some of the older games truly were. Like GTA 3 which is a top 100 game but try playing that once w/o running int...

imho there's definitely some games that would crack the Top 50 list from the PS3-4 era. Possibly even Top 25. But this list is atrocious from a gamers perspective. Though the title does state "according to critics." I think most of us can agree critics suck. It use to be that a game journalist wrote an article about the games strengths, shortcomings and bugs and rated each game respectfully. Now with the internet reviewers are biased, opinionated coming from fanboys and hacks......

that's what I was thinking Fox. Repetitive only when they're churned out too often. When you have an annual title doing the same thing over and over. It works for a game like Uncharted because it isn't a annual title and because it's simply a great action/adventure game. If Uncharted were dropping annually it would have been an issue by Uncharted 3. Honestly, even with GoW the formula works. I was sad to see the old go but they did a great job reinventing the IP to where I mis...

as a spin off or something in the Diablo world I don't have a problem with that. Matter of fact it might be interesting if they pulled it off. As a mainline game, absolutely not.

In all honesty though I think Blizzard really nailed it with Diablo 3. Simply following that formula, making some improvements, perhaps a few tweaks/additions is really all that's required. Long as the level design is solid, game play is similar, etc. To date Diablo 3 is still a game I can...

I understand they can't restrict anything and everything but there really need to be a better way of moderating what is and isn't able to be used. This is an interesting one because I read it as Keykay. I'm sure 99% of people/gamers would as well. It actually took several seconds to even recall that Kike was/is a racial slur.

Shame on the person who was offended and shame on Sony for not actually taking 2 seconds before escalating this so far. Hopefully everyth...

guess I found a reason to keep playing some more. Currently around 89% total completion but I highly doubt I'll get 100%. Was going to get the last 2 graves tomorrow then call it quits but might as well waste some time on dino bones, rock carvings, easter eggs I've missed and keep working on those challenges in the process. Quite the handy map

The Best Buy ad has DQXI for $30 Black Friday. I broke down and ordered it last night from Amazon.

Hopefully I get around to playing it once I finish up screwing around in RDR2. 99% story, 3 legendary fish left, 1 Stranger and various random other things to keep me enjoying the game... though I do need to finish Tomb Raider still...
