The app certainly sounds better than expected. However, it's disappointing that some standard features are locked behind the application.
The app integration with games is great, and I hope to see more of it, but this should be extra, not necessary.
NES Classic was there to increase revenue and profit margins so their fiscal year looked better for investors.
@QUIMICOMORTAL
Define "top quality" please.
Anything Sony related you are so positive, but when it comes to Nintendo you are absolutely jaundiced. It's ridiculous.
Using the X2 would have increased the cost of the product. Plain and simple. My statement is still correct.
Oh, apparently the article is fake. Darn, I was intrigued.
Pokemon sells more in Japan than all of those titles.
For what the Switch is, it is quite powerful. Making it any more powerful would have increased the size, decreased the battery life, or increased the price. It is unfortunate, but that's the nature of portable products.
Well, it's still releasing on Windows and possibly even Mac in the future. Meaning those with a PS4 may still be able to play this title on another device they own. It looks very fun, and the art style is terrific.
Okay, so let me get this straight. First, this is a game you are really interested in and were going to buy launch day. Then you read an article where the developer explicitly states what platforms Cuphead will launch on and what may receive a release in the future for which they completely excluded PS4, and...somehow...that made you want to wait for a PS4 version?
The key word is "integrated graphics" folks.
@armchairDev
Yeah, no seriously. Graphical capabilities of the Switch are a valid assumption for why this title isn't being ported.
@MrFisher21
I don't care what kind of site this is. People should still try and act as mature as they can.
Yeah, you sound real mature.
I loved Crash Bash. That game was so fun for me and friends.
@Goldby
I've beat Dark Souls a number of times and there are no difficulty levels. You are confusing it for New Game +, which is different.
"And sorry to say man, timing is easy, takes some practice but timing blocks, dodges and anything like that is easy after enough practice. There's people doing 1 hit visceral kills on bosses in bloodborne based on timing"
So, does that make Bloodborne easy too? Or any Souls game f...
"Or given for free to all that bought the Wii U thinking they were getting this game years ago"
What an utterly ridiculous statement. I suppose Sony should just give out free PS4's to the PS3 owners that were promised The Last Guardian, eh? Wii U owners received the game that they were promised. There is no reason why they should be compensated because of Zelda.
"The way I see it, this is half the asking price of the full game, if this doesn'...

"Also all Lyonels follow an attack pattern each very easy to learn and they leave themselves open to attacking slow mo constantly"
Do you even know what you have to do in order to instigate slo-mo attacking? They don't just "leave themselves open"...you have to time it REALLY well. The lyonels aren't as easy as some Youtube people would lead you to believe. If you watched some people play Dark Souls on Youtube you coul...
@richyque
Yes...because all of these numbers are from Japan...the Switch, in the same time period, is outselling the Playstation, Playstation 3, Playstation 4 and Nintendo 64 in Japan.
Seriously, did any of you actually read the article?
"its not really stacking up well at all...even behind the vita"
Did you read the article? Vita took 43 weeks to reach 1 million units in Japan and the Switch only took 17 weeks.
@Sono421
The app integration is cool because you can set "appointments", look at gear, set up party's, check up on events, etc without having to turn the console on. All of those are cool features to have on an app.
I'll echo again, the only thing that isn't cool about the app is the fact that its a necessity.
