"The problem is even The fully loaded textures don’t look great"

If that is the problem, then show a picture of the fully loaded textures and then comment how bad they are.

"the worse it performs and it begins showing Much earlier than Skyrim."

Yes, that's also a streaming issue and it needs to be patched. Xenoblade 2 had a similar thing (though it'd at least go away if you reloaded).

I hope it's an option. Personally, I thought the motion controls for the Wii remasters were great. But other people probably want traditional controls too, which is fine

That's a texture streaming thing. Even PS4 and XBox One get textures like that in games where the textures haven't loaded in yet. FFVII: remake is a recent example.

I mean, the game doesn't look great but you're embellishing by using that picture.

The PS4 uses a mobile APU in that they are common to see in things like laptops, not products like the PS Vita or Switch. I mean, the wattage the PS4 uses alone would make it impossible for it to be portable like the Switch. The PS4 slim peaks out at about 110 watts meanwhile the Switch sits about 15 watts. A portable PS4 would need to have approximately 9 times the battery capacity (maybe a bit less if there isn't a disc drive) in order to have the same life.

When you...

Well, unfortunately it did hurt the platform. Sony admitted that software sales were notably lower on the PSP than their consoles, which likely influenced their decision to use proprietary memory cards for the Vita.

Monolith isn't just working on BotW 2, they are also working on a new RPG that is a bit more western based (medieval setting I believe).

Anyway, the resolution sucks. I think the engine they are using is a modification of the engine they've been using for a while, and might not be optimized for the Switch well. I hope they use a different engine for their next game.

@Sono

Why did you even bother with the online at that point when local play is a thing?

2215d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Well it was put on the PS3 (86M) and the 360 (84M) then ported to the PS4 (110M) and Xbox One (~45-50M), then ported again to the PC.

So, just adding up the consoles, that is 325M potential userbase (at the low end not including PC). It's certainly sold a lot and done tremendously, but I could see how it could get there with that many platforms.

I think that the virus really messed some of Nintendo's plans up, and delayed announcements of games that they would have announced to ensure that they will be developed on time.

Case-in-point: Paper Mario. It was such a quick announcement, and the game comes out in two months. I'm hoping there will be more announcements like that once Nintendo ensures their developers get their bearings with developing games from a distance.

That being said, we...

*Exclusives aren't just games you can't play on Switch. A game that is available on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 is by no means exclusive.

I mean, if we are going to go that route then the Witcher 3 is an exclusive because you can't play it on an iPhone. Seems kinda silly, doesn't it?

I mean, there are timed exclusives, peripheral exclusives, platform exclusives, console exclusives, content exclusives, timed dlc exclu...

I wouldn't say it is mind blowing. It's really cool what people can make in Dreams, but this Sonic game is clearly a work in progress and looks very unfinished.

The new pokemon games are good. Are they better than previous pokemon games? Nah, but that doesn't mean they aren't good games.

Also, saying that just because someone has a different opinion than you they shouldn't be taken seriously is extremely short sighted.

@Silly gameAr

Nintendo shipped over 21M consoles this last fiscal year. Sony shipped 13.6M consoles this last fiscal year. Yes, it is selling much more than the PS4, so it's not really hyperbole. Whether or not it will sell more lifetime remains to be seen, of course.

Guess the Playstation and Xbox branded headsets and external harddrives are just a way for them to rip off gamers too, eh?

FF7: remake will definitely be number 1 next NPD!

Like, the gaming industry?

Why? I feel like the Switch doesn't affect what is on the PS4.

Boy, those stock issues really hurt Switch in Japan. Going from 150k to 25k. Hopefully Nintendo can get those shipments out.

Huge boost for PS4

It's cool that there is a mod for people that want to play this without VR, but I have to be honest. This is the first VR game I've played where I legitimately felt like VR was the only way to truly experience this title. What I mean is, typically VR adds something to a title (like super hot). It's best played in VR, but playing it elsewhere is still fun.

But the VR aspect is so integral to this game that I really feel people who use this mod are doing themselve...

Some of these are ridiculous.
7. Cloud saves were available on Steam before PS, and PS3/360 got it the same year as each other.
8. The triggers on the PS1 and PS2 controllers are just secondary bumpers. Analog triggers were created with the Saturn 3D controller. A trigger is like a gun, a bumper is like a button.
10. How is Gran Turismo an innovation? Great game, but not the first of it's kind. Probably the best in that era though.
13. Mario 64 wa...

Rise of the Tomb Raider was bundled up with extra content from the base version on Xbox One, included the Season Pass, was considered a special "20th anniversary edition", added a PSVR mode and other content. Meanwhile, the 20th Anniversary Pack was sold on Xbox One for $30 extra dollars (not including the base game). In other words, PS4 owners received the most complete edition of the game by default, and the PS4 had the largest userbase of any conso...
