I hope Nintendo gives us a big direct soon. The mini-direct was good for a "mini-direct", but the big directs are where all the AAA announcements come from, and that's what I want to see.
Still excited for Xenoblade though!
"That's all the Switch is, a port machine a decade behind in games and tech."
That's pretty dang disingenuous. The Switch has way more than just ports to offer. Heck, I own around 15 exclusives for the console alone, not even regarding ports of any kind (Wii U or otherwise).
The tech issue I'm not even going to bother with. That's just a ridiculous assertion. It's the most powerful dedicated portable video game console that w...
@Vikuro
Okay, but in all of those examples (pedophilia, zoophilia, necrophilia) there is one person who is doing something with a non-consenting individual. Homosexuality doesn't harm anybody if it's between two consenting adults.
Not saying it should be "everywhere" but it's mere inclusion in this game shouldn't bring about a rash response. Heck, most people probably wouldn't even know if this stupid article hadn't been ...
@JackB
I think there is a difference between "sexualizing" a character and just having a romantic relationship. There are so many games with an E for Everyone rating that have characters in romantic relationships.
Now, if they are describing, discussing, enacting, or even implying anything of the sexual sort I absolutely agree.
IDK, why not?
Yeah, it looks like that is an option now. You can adjust AA and sharpening now, as well as other effects. I, myself, will be reducing AA.
The cross save addition is practically a game seller. Someone with a PC may want to purchase the Switch version now just to have the game on the go.
Obviously not everyone will, but it's an excellent feature for those who already have PC's and the game. Would be awesome if it was added to PS4 and Xbox One as well (i.e. Switch cross-save with PS4 and Xbox One)
@Bluefox
It has 100+ million consoles sold worldwide, but the majority of consoles sold are in regions where a game like SMT doesn't sell. The attach rate for SMT is highest in Japan, where the PS4 is only at around 8.5M sold. Meanwhile, the Switch is at 12M and climbing.
Not saying it can't perform well on PS4 (Persona 5 did great), just saying that stating 100+ million install base isn't painting the whole picture.
Well, to be fair platinum games' games didn't fair much better on PS3. Vanquish sold around 600000 on PS3 and about 450000 on 360. Bayonetta was 1200000 vs 920000 or something. They sold better on PlayStation for sure, but it wasn't a large enough ratio for them to stop considering Xbox altogether.
Though, I'd REALLY like to see Nier's sales on Xbox One. I bet that one didn't do to hot, but it's hard to tell.
Edit: though I gue...
Yeah, I do...but I want them to add more SNES games and fix it up or I don't think I'll continue. Played Super Mario World with a buddy. It was fun, but boy does the service need some work. The feature set is okay (party chat is my only real complaint, feature wise), but the quality of the online is legitimately bad.
"If you weren't trying to claim it was gaining power then what on earth were you try to claim? If your not going to be clear in what you're saying then don't engage at all. Right now you're making a stupid argument, and if you don't like the response you should re-evaluate your position."
Okay, so we are doubling down on the rude comments, I see. First, I've no idea how you are going to interpret my statements. The statement I made is compl...
@Tk-66
Did I ever say that the switch gains more power? Point that out in my comment.
Yes, the speeds could be achieved while handheld, if you wanted 15 minutes of battery. Hence why docking it is needed, and no other portable videogame console has ever taken advantage of this, and literally all other portable videogame consoles have underclocked hardware. So, yes when the Switch offers higher clocks when docked to achieve greater image quality since it...
@TK-66
I don't see why you aren't excepting the Switch's ability to reach higher clock speeds while docked. Hence the external unit helping the Switch achieve clockspeeds otherwise unable to. No other video game console has used this feature, so why doesn't the Switch fit the definition of "hybrid"?
I feel like the Switch transcend generations. It's a hybrid console that's barely (around 2x) more powerful than Nintendo's 8th gen console, and less powerful than both the other 8th gen consoles. It's such a different device with a different hook that it's not really directly competing. Because of this, other consoles can be just as successful while the Switch is still selling.
@Razzer
You aren't going to get anywhere. You were correct to say it was end of gen slowdown, and everyone who told you that you were incorrect was looking for something to criticize Xbox about. It's evidenced by every single comment of @gravediggers being about PS4 vs Xbox instead of just looking at last years revenue to this years for both Playstation and Xbox...because that's the real story. Everyone knows that PS4 beat Xbox this gen...he just wants to beat a...
More like 5-6 for their home consoles and 6-7 for their portable consoles. Only the Wii U was 4
@Gaming4Life
Well that's not a bad order either! I put Twilight Princess a bit lower because I felt it was a bit too copy-paste from Ocarina of Time. Almost felt like a remake in a few ways. The items in that game are some of the best though!
Well, some already feel Breath of the Wild is the best Zelda game. Improvements to dungeons and item management and I could definitely see it contesting.
I think it is.
1. Ocarina of Time.
2. A Link to the Past
3. Breath of the Wild
4. Windwaker
5. Twilight Princess
Almost 60M with only six entries is pretty dang good. For comparison, the second highest selling fighting game franchise is Mortal Kombat with 49M units sold between 24 releases with 15 of them being unique entries.
