These are launch aligned, not current.
PS5 is doing incredible...but I don't get the pandemic excuse. Early on in the pandemic things were affected, but since then the videogame market has skyrocketed. Sales are at an all time high. The pandemic actually increased the market, not decreased. Even manufacturing has gotten mostly back to business.
What I've started doing for challenge in pokemon games is constantly swapping my pokemon out. In early games you had to choose and build up your team, but Pokemon games now make that too easy and OP. Swapping out your pokemon gives you a challenge and helps you fill in your pokedex.
Still, wish there was a hard mode.

"I should think so as well, seeing as though it was essentially the only one on the market. Anyone with a Series S/X would have just picked up a standard xbox one controller."
He is literally saying that people are just picking up standard Xbox One controllers. How am I selectively reading? Heck, the first part could be taken as "Dualsense is the only real next-gen controller". Which...I feel is a compliment.
@razzer
So you guys are so sensitive that him saying people are just picking up Xbox One controllers is a downplay?
Christ
People really hate positivity on this site, judging from the amount of disagrees.
Yeah, Series X/S is out of stock as well. Switch also experienced shortages. It would be interesting to see the results of stock was "unlimited" lol
What is with the disagrees? Yeesh
Pretty impressive stuff. Switch only down by about 60k units YoY. Which is likely due to a lack of big IP release like 2019 had with Pokemon, and not necessarily the arrival of the new consoles.
PS5 sold over 1.1M units too (above PS4 launch, exact amount I don't know). Not sure about Series X/S.
Those are some great numbers combined. Okami initially "underperformed" on Wii and PS2, but the HD release means that combined sales are around 3.4 million now. Not bad
Pretty sure okami HD was the only way to play Okami on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 too. And, unless you were one of the 10M or so who own a PS2 BC PS3...it's the only way to play on PS3 as well.
So good sales for games means gamers are bored now? Interesting spin.
They added 3D to the PS3, and external hard drive support to the PS4. These are just two notable features.
I get you, I'm in the "wait and see" camp myself. Tbh, the PS5 is pretty big it's the first time I actually want to wait for a slim version. Not sure if I have room in my TV stand and I don't like my consoles right next to the TV!
That being said, Ratchet and Clank, God of War Ragnarok, and Deathloop might tip me over the edge. Provided none of them are on the PS4 as well.
Also, the people saying that you'll miss out on a whole g...
Breath of the Wild for me, but I also think that Super Mario World, Super Mario 64, and Halo 1 were pretty significant. Resistance 1 for the PS3 is overlooked I feel as well.
I liked it, and would prefer they didn't remove it.
I agree and disagree. I think that it depends. If it's gross negligence or lack of power then, yeah c'mon get your head in the game.
However if it's more about saving space or increasing speed, alright sounds fine by me. 1080p isn't a big deal to me since my 65" that I game on is still 1080p. But, in five years it might be a bigger deal
I figured as such. Switch is literally at the height of it's entire life, and, after this year, should start to trickle down (unless it's fourth year is the best like PS4 which is unlikely).
The PS4 was selling great even after the Switch arrived. That showed that the markets, though intertwining a bit, aren't exactly the same.
@Palitera
Okay, so Sony and MS were also to blame for that Battlefront 2 fiasco?
Switch sales are super strong. If it keeps this up, sales should be at around 76-77M by the end of the year. Which means they would have sold more than the 3DS lifetime in under four years.
