I'm currently making my own engine for DX11 and some things have certainly changed since DX10. DX10 has a few annoying differences when it comes to shaders and displaying font. Also, DX11 uses xnamath library while DX10 does not. People who can play Crysis 3 on PC, will have DirectX 11 cards. Another thing is tessellation (which I haven't advanced to yet). It was only added with DX11 and maybe Crytek does not want any version of Crysis 3 on pc without tessellation.

Blops 2 gets the same score as Far Cry 3. Well that sums Edge up as a 1/10 magazine.
If you've played with the CryEngine 3 sdk, then you know how powerful it is. Nothing will touch Crysis 3 graphically until UE4 games in 2014. CryEngine 4 vs UE4 will be a heck of a battle. With UE4 removing Unrealscript and using all c++ with Code View and Kismet 2, development will be much easier and faster. Though engines are not just about graphics.

Crytek may not be the best game developer but they are an excellent game engine developer. Few companies can make an engine as good as CryEngine 3. Plus they provide the sdk for free. Here, they are not talking about game design but the technical challenge of getting the most out of hardware as limited and dated as 360 and PS3. Far Cry 3 is an excellent game and has great graphics but overall, it does not look as good as Crysis 3 will.
Garbage! even if people didn't learn about the game online and just stumbled into a shop to buy a game, unless they are in a rush or are not that clever, they would read the back of the box. The box art is certainly iviting enough to read the back of the box to learn what the game is about.
Why? it will take them more time to make the slim version and therefore it will be released later. It will also not have an optical drive. Don't think that Sony didn't have the PS3 Slim planned either. As technology improves, components can be made smaller with no loss in processing power.
The trailer is very good for current specs but if you want to see next gen, look at the Unreal Engine 4 videos. If next gen consoles can get a graphics card as good as a GTX 680 (I doubt it), we will see some truly stunning games.

Both games are very different. Bioshock is a more innovative and better game imo but Crysis 2 blows it out of the water graphically, especially on pc. Crytek need to get their ai and overall gameplay to another level and make the game more sandbox. Bioshock Infinite looks great but my worry is that the environment will be too closed in. I prefer sandbox games like Far Cry 3 but I love Biosock's story, atmosphere and the mixtures of guns and super powers.

If you spent less time bitching and more time learning how to develop games, maybe you could contribute to a game better than Mass Effect 3. Though, I have my doubts.
