He said one of the greatest. Learn to read. I loved GTA IV. Though ignorant people only look at what it didn't have compared to San Andreas instead of looking at what it added.
Nothing much historic about the US either. After all, it is quite a new country.
Not really too difficult to start making games. Learn how to program. Learn c++. Get Frank D Luna's book on learning DirectX 11. Look up game engine design. Build a game engine for DirectX 11 (OpenGL if you want but not as used nowadays). Then create your game and your done. Or you could just download the Cryengine 3 sdk, learn how to use the engine and then programming in c++ and your off. Or use XNA which with C# which is the easiest option and how I started. Trust me, in a year, you wo...
How about not US?
My GTX 680, 16gb ram and i7 3700k oc'd to 4.5ghz say bring it the fck on mothafckas!
Its a game after all. Look at all the stealth games like MGS or Deus Ex or Splinter Cell where you can incapacitate enemies in close proximity to other enemies and not set off any alarms. I just hope that everything isn't scripted and that there are unlimited ways to get out of a situation such as the one shown here.
This guy is just a whiner because he got fired. Whether the Wii U is a failure or not remains to be seen but this guy certainly is.
Any voice actors that sweat blood are sure to be talented. Though those that bleed sweat you would want to watch out for!
Doesn't have to be a good FBI agent. Hell most of them aren't good anyway.
Do you think that the marketing team in Sony would just sit back and not bother creating a strategy for advertisements. Come on now. Its not that simple. You might as well say that Sony are losing money because they're not making money.
@Killerhog
You are picking at straws there. All three have contributed a lot but MS have had the least number of consoles and have done quite a bit. For example, where is Sony's or Nintendo's XNA? Starting developers can create games on windows with XNA using C# and then easily port to 360 and earn money from them. XNA provides a layer of abstraction over DirectX 9 and is easy to use. MSDN also provide a wealth of good code samples for people to use. C# is also a fantastic pro...
He was being sarcastic. /s /s
No CryEngine 3 SDK is free which includes the c++ code of the game files but not of the editor. If a company uses sdk and sell the game, then they pay 20% of revenue to Crytek. If they want to use the full CryEngine 3 engine with level editor source code, then its about a million for the license.
Clearly it is games that are driving youngsters to commit such hideous crimes. The games should know that these youngsters are too young to play and not grant them access to the content. Obviously their parents are to expect such features and it can't be their fault for that reason. It is the fault of lazy developers who can't be bothered to build in age detection into their games! Shame on them! /s
I like third person shooting. The problem is that most thirds person shooters are far too linear and have regenerating health and poor a.i. I would like a third person shooter strategic rpg in an open world. Think of Mass Effect but with more depth, controlling only one character and being able to level to 99 and fight bosses leveled in the 90s with no level scaling like FF.
I am currently making a game engine using C++ and DirectX 11 and the above game is what I want to mak...
We'll find out soon enough how good this game will be. I'm not happy that its not a true survival horror game but it could still be a great game. The biggest disappointment is health regeneration.
There needs to be a balance between realism and fun. If a realistic element in the game reduces the overall quality of the game, then it should be removed or made less realistic. The problem with GTA IV was nothing to do with what it had but what it didn't have and I think Rockstar North will address that in V. The trailer certainly seems to suggest that they will.
GTA IV. Soon to be V.
This will now be FFXV and will be next gen multiplatform with early 2014 release.
4K? God damn!
