Its amazing how Nintendo went from such a success with the Wii to a disaster with the Wii U. Honestly, the console is done for. PS4 and X1 destroy it in almost every way. Nintendo need to go back to the drawing board and bring out a console in the next two years that is more powerful than the X1 and PS4.

Sometimes humanity brings stupid to new levels and this has certainly raised the bar.
I will give credit where it is due. The first game got slated but fair play to Square for going back to the drawing board and turning FFXIV into an excellent mmo.
As good as Dan Houser is, the game engine architects and physics, graphics, gameplay and AI programmers deserve most of the credit. To get that big detailed world running on 7 years old hardware at 30fps and 720p is a big achievement.

This site works like this. Say something positive towards Sony and you get agrees. Say something negative and you get disagrees and might even lose bubbles. Although PS4 is my console of choice, I look at the consoles objectively. PS4 streamlined capabilities will improve performance some bit but when it comes to rendering polygons on screen, its all about gpu speed and buffer size. The PS4 gpu is in between a GTX 580 and GTX 680. The cpu is poor relative to an i7 but the communication between cpu and gpu will be fast which is good for the speed of binding data from the cpu to the shader pipeline.
Remember its a tablet we are talking about. It isn't made for games. Now compare it to the other tablets on the market and you'll see its a big step up.
RAM is important but once there's 4gb or more its fine. Its all about the clock speed of the gpu because animation skinning, physics and particle systems are all being done on the gpu now.
I'm a programmer and have created my owner game engine with DirectX 11 that can probably be used for Xbox One so it does interest me. Only problem is I use PhysX and Xbox One has an AMD gpu meaning the physics computations would be done on the cpu which is significantly slower. Though I can change to Havok or Bullet. I agree though that most gamers can't program so it won't be a big selling point but it is a nice feature none the less.
I have made my own game engine for pc using Direct X 11. If I can port that over for use with Xbox One, then I'll buy one. Seeing as the One uses DirectX 11.2, then I should be able to get it working.
One has to first ask what the point of life is. The point of living is self-satisfaction. Even if you sacrifice yourself to help others, it is still self-satisfying. Therefore, if playing games is more self-satisfying to an individual than education, games would seem to be more important to that person. Satisfaction not being the short term release of endorphin in the brain but rather an overall feeling of serenity.
PS4 has the better hardware and exclusives. X1 has better and faster online for games. PS4 has the MMO advantage though. PS4 is my console of choice but I think most people that primary played 360 over PS3 will get X1. Though I think PS4 will sell more consoles and MS will lose a lot of customers to PS4.
Of course they will max out the hardware. That's easy to do. I can max out my GTX 680 (which is significantly better than the PS4 gpu) with my own game engine by just rendering over 100 animating characters on screen at the same time. Though by doing things more efficiently, developers can get better performance at the same computational cost. However, the PS4 and X1 hardware is very similar to PC so developers should able to do things optimally much faster this generation.

I can confirm its the first mission of the game. I got the game last night. Its a tutorial for shooting more so than anything else. You can play as Michael and Trevor and switch between them. You then start playing as Franklin after this mission and you do one mission with Franklin involving stealing a car and then you can explore the world, including stealing planes from Los Santos airport.
