This is just retail prices they have always ripped ppl off.
I never shop in retail stores now as online is always cheaper and most of the time u get the game the day before its released in shops.
I shall be preordering GTA4 for ps3 at amazon or wherever i see it the cheapest a couple weeks before release.
If PC gaming does die out then console gaming will die too. They are explicitly linked to the hardware they use.
PC gamers buy the top end hardware and over a few months the price decreases so console manufacturers can make the cheaper consoles.
If pc gaming does die then i wouldnt need a high end graphics card, not as much RAM, no multi core CPU or anything hi tech coming from nvidia, AMD, Intel etc.
Microsoft would suffer too as ppl wouldnt buy a new OS to surf the ...

GTA has always been a sandbox game where u can create your own gameplay. Do anything u want. I dont think ive ever finished the story mode in any GTA. I've just been having too much fun driving around causing havoc.
The DLC comes out 4 months later. I think most ppl will have moved on to other games by then too.
Sony and Microsoft have already put their foot in the door for DD with PSN and Live but it needs the ISPs to cooperate or it wont go anywhere anytime soon.
I think Valve, Stardock and a few others are further along than sony or MS with DD.
Its working atm but when HD movies or the HD games larger than dvd9 come to DD thats where problems will arise. ISPs not allowing massive amounts of bandwidth to be downloaded is gonna put a rather large wall in the way.

There will always be a physical media format until ISPs come out of their cave and upgrade their networks to allow high speed connections and "unlimited" bandwidth.
Atm i dont see this happening anytime soon. The ISPs seem to be adamant on keeping their profits as they are and not upgrading anything especially in the UK and US.
This will stunt digital downloads taking off like it should. The UK broadband might even get worse if the government and RIAA/MPAA has any...

If there is no more gaming on a pc platform i and many others would move to linux therefore M$ would lose billions in lost revenue from OS and application sales.

I don't trust Bethsoft much anymore they used to a damn good dev studio but then they got sucked into the xbox live crap and DLCs and now they are just as bad as EA for selling content which should be in the game to start with.

I've just upgraded my pc and it didnt cost no where near $4000 and i'll be able to run bioshock at max settings.

The game is 20 hrs long and u lot are putting it down. Its much longer than Gears of War and many other fps titles. i think only Half Life 1 was longer than Bioshock and with 2 different endings that puts it way over 30hrs of gameplay!
Stop complaining. I don't think any xbox or ps3 game is 20 hrs long for the single player apart from a few sandbox games.

The x360 dvd drive has been patched so u can play backup games for months now. Why didnt u make a fuss about that too? And that is dvd9 only.
I think M$ is in much more trouble than sony considering blu-ray is so expensive and there are little to no blu-ray burners on the market atm.
