SOE have already said that they won't start the PS4 version until the PC version is completed.
Early Access hasn't started yet on PC so you're looking at 2016 at the earliest for PS4 version.
You could also say that about Tomb Raider and Halo 5.

@Kivespussi I guess the console gamers see us as a threat but they can't direct it towards the company that owns the PC platform because there isn't one so they direct it towards PC gamers and the platform itself :)

I don't think Square or Microsoft were thinking long term.
MS wanted an exclusive, timed or otherwise and Square wanted a cash injection so their company could stay afloat.
There's usually only one hype window for most games.
Once that's gone it loses it's appeal.
Square needs to release PC/PS4 version soon after the xbox versions or they'll lose a lot of customers to other games and lack of appeal for a game already released a few months before.

This entire thing has been blown way out of proportion.
One of the developers or producers said it at SOE Live which is an event for mainly PC games as SOE is a PC developer.
They were joking and messing around all weekend in Las Vegas for the event. All SOE games were shown including H1Z1, Everquest Next, Planetside 2 and Landmark. It was actually where H1Z1 was announced officially for PS4.

The game has been pushed forwards to 30th September in US and 2nd/3rd October in EU.

One thing I agree with is that Sony needs to get more aggressive.
Microsoft will be doing everything in it's power to get the Xbox back on top as when you're at the bottom the only way is up.
Sony can't rest on the lead it has to keep pushing for more new IPs and use their first party studios to good effect to counter anything that Microsoft does.

But CDPR did go back on their statement of no one gets special treatment but I guess they meant in game only.
I'm not a collector so it doesn't bother me but I can understand why PS/PC collectors are annoyed.
I've been playing The Witcher since the beginning and will always support CDPR but it seems no one is immune to MS money.

The GPU in PS4 is nowhere near the R9 290 specs. It's more equivalent to a R9 270.
Both PS4 GPU and R9 270 have 20 Compute Units.
Either way I'm getting it on my PC. I've supported CDPR since The Witcher and I'm not going to stop now.
They've always said that the PC version is the priority and will be coming to Early Access ASAP.
They haven't even started developing the PS4 version yet so no idea when that will come out. I'm guessing in the next 2 years.
SOE are PC developers and will always prioritise PC over consoles.
