Microsoft can't afford to have a parity clause. It's just shooting themselves in the foot.

Oh we already got the walking simulator on PC. It's called DayZ :)

A few of the games on the list started as PC exclusives but were ported to consoles later.

Clunkyd no point mentioning PC games on N4G as PC gamers and gaming is hated here.

It's a console haven where everything PC is downrated.

Check out most of the comments above mine as evidence.

The only reason PC exclusives don't get noticed is because they don't have multi billion dollar companies behind them and multi milli...

PC version has motion blur option but most just turn it off.

It also has AF up to x16, tessellation, order independent transparency (no idea) and many more options to enable and disable.

The game runs great on my PC which is just above the PS4 power with all settings on high. Definitely not a console port.

This game isn't garbage though.

Only IGN and a couple other gaming websites have given it a poor score.

The rest love the game for it's atmosphere and authenticity to the Alien franchise.

It's rated better than Destiny that's for sure :)

No we hate console ports as most of the time they are unoptimised pieces of trash i.e. Dead Rising 3 :)

I played watch dogs on medium/high on my GTX 460 768MB. Anything is possible :)

I never believe system requirements from developers. They are nearly always wrong and bloated to what real world requirements are.

I certainly don't believe The Evil Within requires 4GB VRAM for recommended specs. It's on the RAGE and Wolfenstein engine and I've already played them fine on my old GTX 460.

This is on ultra high settings which the consoles can't even get no where near close to so anything around 60fps is damn good.

Most of the benchmark he was around 70fps.

How the hell is Shadow of Mordor unoptimised. This is nothing like Watch Dogs. That game was just a broken mess for a lot of people.

And how the hell do you know the witcher 3 is optimised? There isn't even any system requirements released for witcher 3 yet.

Not entirely true.

Retail versions is the 3rd October. Digital PC versions is 30th September.

Microsoft stop supporting PC gaming when they brought out their Xbox console.

We haven't heard a peep from them since apart from their "We love PC gaming" mantra they come out with every year then do sweet FA.

I think the only thing that could be considered supporting PC gaming is Direct X 12.

Ryse and Dead Rising 3 are 3rd party games so don't count.

Yeah they haven't done much at all for PC gaming. I ...

On high the PC version takes 3GB VRAM not 4.

It seems like they put a lot more effort into the PS4 version than any other version though.

Such a shame it could have been a great game on all platforms not just their preferred platform.

@wannabe gamer

I'm not talking about Shadow of Mordor. The ultra graphics is optional. I'm totally fine with Shadow of Mordor med/high settings.

What I'm talking about is The Evil Within 4GB VRAM requirement for recommended settings. There is no optional settings here this is what you need to play the game.

So I stand by my statement that it isn't advancement but lazy developers trying to brute force the PC version with conso...

This isn't technology advancing this is lazy console developers brute forcing the PC version trying to make it work like a console.

This is just one game so far that has ridiculous VRAM requirements for recommended settings.

Not sure why a lot of people are panicking.

Shadow of Mordor has reasonable requirements for medium/high just goes overboard for the optional ultra settings.

Supply and demand does not work with digital games. As the supply is infinite so demand does not exist.

Only a physical object can obey the laws of supply and demand as it has to be manufactured and delivered to the customer. Stocks can run out. Not so with digital copies.

This is why the publishers are taking the piss with digital downloads. They have infinite supply and yet charge the highest price. Makes no sense in an economic market place.

Totally agree.

Ethan Carter is stunning and doesn't take much to run the game at all.

It's when you get developers that aren't familiar with PC architecture and don't make any effort to optimise for the platform that we get bloated system requirements.

It doesn't help when they use idtech 5 which is notorious for higher than average system requirements. It's just a double whammy for the PC version. It had no chance. <...

@deSSy2724 Monolith has already confirmed it isn't a console port. It was developed alongside the console versions.

Monolith are PC developers. They've been making PC games since 1999.

Only the Xbone, PS4 and PC was developed by Monolith. The PS3 and X360 was outsourced to another developer that's why they are delayed.

4204d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

There is no chance in hell that the Xbone/PS4 can run the ultra graphics settings on the PC.

This is for enthusiast PCs only.

The consoles don't even have 6GB VRAM spare just for graphics.

When neither console can output 1080p/60fps consistently and now you say they can output 6GB VRAM worth of textures reserved for only the most powerful PC graphics cards.

You're living in a dream world.

4204d ago 6 agree0 disagreeView comment

This isn't a console port. The ultra graphics setting is for high end PCs only. You will never see the ultra high textures on consoles as they are too weak for them.

The consoles don't even have 6GB VRAM spare just for textures.

I won't be playing on ultra settings but I will be playing on high. I'm guessing the consoles will be on med/high settings.

This is nothing to worry about for PC gaming. This is just a known PC develop...

They mentioned New Game + in the above video. Not sure on the difficulty but it doesn't seem that easy anyway.
