Then Witcher 3 will be shit as well by your standards.
It's a very similar game to Witcher 2 with a lot more open ended world to play in.
Please name a better open world game than Witcher 3 on any platform?
For me there is no better for RPG than Witcher series but I'm a PC gamer so I'm biased as I've played all the Witcher games to date.
The only reason Live failed on PC and succeeded on Xbox is because PC gamers have a choice and Xbox gamers don't.
Simple as that.
What's Xbox gamers going to do if they don't pay up? Not play Halo or Gears online? Not a chance so they succumbed to their masters and paid up :P
@Pintheshadows There would be no uproar we would just ignore it so Microsoft has to remove the subscription like we did last time they tried to charge us for G4WL.
I personally don't want to be linked to anything Xbox on my PC.
Microsoft have made it clear that Xbox comes first and is their only priority for the last 10 -15 years. PC platform is someone elses problem for them.
That's fine with me. Now fk off back to console gaming MS...
Hmm really? I have Cities Skylines and Sid Meiers Starships on 10th March which I have preordered. Both PC exclusives.
I pay for quite a lot of games and back quite a lot on Kickstarter.
I backed Wasteland 2 along with many others so the console gamers have the privilege of playing one of the best TBS of last year.
Once a PC is built that's it. No more cost for at least 3-4 years unless you're a PC enthusiast and upgrade every time a ...
No offence but I don't want these types of games to go to consoles.
PC gaming needs some games exclusive to the platform just like consoles do.
The CRPG turn based genre should stay on PC where it belongs.
The Steam Machines were Valve's idea but Valve pawned them off to 3rd parties to create the machines themselves.
They were expensive and an insult to PC gaming as you could design and build your own PC for a much cheaper price than the 3rd parties were charging.
SteamOS is still a thing and will be coming in the near future. You don't need a Steam Machine for it to work just a normal PC.
What you have to realise is that Microsoft hate...
Developers can hit 60fps on all games if they wanted to but you'd have 8 bit graphics to compensate for the lack of power the consoles have.
Your choice or not :P
Then your kids miss out on a cool game :) Simple as that.
You have plenty of games to play on consoles. Grow Home is just one game that PC gamers have that the consoles don't.
Tim Schafer has no right to defend Peter Molyneux considering what happened to Spacebase DF-9 and the mess of Broken Age.
I guess conmen have to stick together though.
Yes Ori and the Blind Forest is coming to PC.
CDProject RED disagrees. They made The Witcher 2 for $10.8 million. It's probably one of the best RPGs ever made.
It doesn't have to be expensive if they manage their budgets correctly.
It's only more expensive due to the marketing budget or lack there of.
Publishers spend much more on marketing than they do on the actual game development.
To me that is their problem if they want to spend $100mil+ on marketing but the customers shouldn't have to pay for their extravagances.
Increasing the price of games + DLC due to this expense is BS by the publishers.
No excuses can be made by the publishers that ...
I wasn't that interested in Evolve after the alpha test on PC but this DLC crap has completely put me off ever buying the game at any price.
I just can't be arsed with developers putting profits before everything else even their integrity.
I'm currently enjoying Dying Light and Darkest Dungeon on PC so Evolve isn't even on my radar now. I really loved Left4Dead too.
I guess this is what happens when you become too greedy and ...
You do realise PC gamers asked for AC Rogue to be released on PC and Ubisoft said yes.
I can't wait for it myself as I loved AC Blackflag and another AC in the same world as Blackflag is fine by me.
That's physical retail only for the NPD results you posted.
You might as well post vgchartz data it's just as accurate for PC game sales as NPD is.
When are you console fanboys going to realise that the PC platform is around 90% digital now and digital PC sales isn't recorded anywhere.
So comparing retail sales of PC and consoles is pointless.
Steam Box is an idea but Valve never intended to build one themselves. That was up to 3rd party companies to get involved and support the idea.
The so-called OS money train isn't Microsoft's incentive as Windows 10 will be free for the first year for Windows 7 and 8 users.
At this point I have no idea what Microsoft's incentives are for PC gaming but they don't seem to like to be left out of the loop on one of the own products.
Phil Spencer has already said DX12 will be primarily for PC gaming and not Xbox.
The Xbox One will not be greatly affected by DX 12 at all.
This is what Phil Spencer said,
"On the DX12 question, I was asked early on by people if DX12 is gonna dramatically change the graphics capabilities of Xbox One and I said it wouldn’t. I’m not trying to rain on anybody’s parade, but the CPU, GPU and memory that are on Xbox One don’t change when you g...
Console and PC game sales are quite different.
On console the first month is critical because after that the sales drop dramatically.
On PC game sales last all year round in a slow build up.
So console is short term sales and PC is long term sales.
This is why people think PC games don't sell well as they only record the first month like they do with consoles.
It's even more difficult to measure PC ga...
The only reason I preorder PC games is because I get all of them at £25 or less.
I wont pay any more than £25 no matter what the publishers want to charge which atm is ridiculous (£50/$75 in UK).
It's called future proofing something console gamers will never understand as you can't upgrade your consoles and the games won't be backwards compatible to play at a later date on a new upgraded console.
Go blame your overlords Microsoft and Sony for not giving u backwards compatibility.
