Maybe Remedy wanted to experiment as a multi-platform developer? I have never heard of MS interfering with the development of QB, there was no mp or MTs and Sam Lake stated he wanted to make a game that mixed live-action and gameplay. Also Ninja Theory publicly stated that they retain creative freedom despite Microsoft buying them. Rare LTD despite their many lackluster games since MS purchase (I personally like PDZ, Kameo and Conker:L & R) also stated that they always had creative freedo...
Maybe Remedy doesn't want to be bought, Control is the studios first multi-console came since Max Payne 2.
Microsoft must have a very strict publishing deal with Remedy for Alan Wake. Remedy owns the Alan Wake IP not MS.
The graphics look good for the development budget. I do wish the System Shock remake was initially managed better. Personally I am very interested in this remake of System Shock as I have never played original or it sequel. Also, Prey and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided & Human Revolution got me into immersion sims, so I am very interested in playing the System Shock series.
And women can still legally be beaten to death for witchcraft.
Saudi Arabia is one of the most backwards country there is, not shocking they’re scapegoating videos instead of looking at the societal issues in their country.
People forget that Microsoft gave Platinum games two development extensions. Platinum seem more interested in completing their other projects instead of Scalebound.
Don’t start that Scalebound BS, people didn’t care about it until it was canceled.
I am going to assume that GTA V, despite being an enhanced 7th gen port is probably the best selling game on both the PS4 and Xbox one
Star Citizen has received way too much funding (150 million +) for not having a solidified release date. If Star Citizen doesn't release it will be one hell of a scam.
I would love Ninja Theory to reboot Kameo into a hack-n-slash adventure game, with the main character still having elemental and transformation powers. I personally would also like a Immersion-Sim style reboot of Perfect Dark.
Sadly looking back while Dead Space 3 was a good 7/10 game (in my opinion at least), it was not the game that Visceral wanted to make. The under-performing sales of Dead Space 3 and EA's manipulation of the studio, unfortunately lead to Visceral closing. Dead Space 4 may have been a great game, had EA let Visceral make the game that they wanted.
Xbox with 5 new studios, and huge amount of resources should have no excuses for having low first party output. In the next 2-3 years Xbox should be showing a number of new first party exclusives assuming their studios are well managed. Consistent high quality (75 + metacritic) exclusives are what MS needs to produce to improve their market share.
Microsoft has put themselves in position to build a stronger first-party lineup. A stronger first-party lineup should help the Xbox Division in the future, but this won't necessarily make them the top console. Both Nintendo and Sony are know for putting out strong first-party games.
I think when people list FPS games that people should play the less popular titles should be highlighted. Prey(2017), Prey (2006), Timesplitters, XIII and many others never really got the attention they deserved. Sure Halo, Half-Life, Doom are great, but they got the attention their quality warranted.
Vgchartz on this cite seems to be a credible source on game-to-game and platform-to-platform basis.
VGchartz often cited as a non-reliable source for game sales.
I prefer my shooters to have no to low aim assist. I think the PS4 and XB1 controllers offer a lot more precision than their predecessors.
Ban this site and their intentional outlier reviews.
The only third person cover-based shooter I can think of that predates Gears of War is Killswitch. Killswitch's basic cover system influenced the much more refined cover system of Gears of War. Games like Vanquish, Uncharted and many other Third Person Shooters have cover systems based on the one present in Gears of War.
