Activision doesn't have an excuse besides greed, there is very likely no technical reason for all 3 remastered games not to be on disc. After the success of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane, you would think there would be no reason to fight used sales of Spyro Reignited Trilogy, besides greed.
I think EA just jumped ship quick from Battlefront 2 after its loot box scheme failed. Also, Battlefield 1 and both EA Battlefront games launched with less content than Battlefield 4, its like EA and Dice want to cut corners when it comes to development.
What does Age of Empires (an RTS) have to do with my comment of the topic of the article in question?

I wonder if the Slip Space Engine will be used for none Halo projects ? Having a cross-studio engine maybe beneficial for Microsoft's 1st party studios.
@rainslacker to get Killer Instinct to run smoothly on the Switch much more than image quality would have to be dropped, textures, shaders AA, lighting, particle and framerate would all likely need to be scaled down. Wolfenstein 2 and Doom (2016) for example are significantly visually scaled back on the Switch and both games run at very low resolutions and fail to maintain a stable 30 fps. Crash N' Sane trilogy also lost fur shading, water effects, textures, shaders, lighting, resolution...
The standard for what is deemed photo-realistic graphics seems to change with every gen, so I guess photo-realistic visual aren't currently achievable.
The Switch likely wouldn’t be able to run Killer Instinct at comparable settings to the base Xbox One leading to unfair crossplay.
It is kind of funny that LateNightGaming is telling people not to spread misinformation, when a few years back he straight up made up a leak and tried to spread it as 100% factual.
Maybe 343i aren't jumping on an trend. Halo Infinite might come out until 2020, we don't know how popular battle royale will be in a few years. Also, Fortnite and PUBG seem to completely dominate the battle royale userbase.
I fully believe the explosive success of Fortnite basically killed the development of Unreal Tournament 4 and potential AAA games from Epic.
I am glad 343i are not jumping on the battle royale train as Halo (and Gears of War) are basically the only remaining console arena shooters.
I think the Battletoads reboot may get a gameplay reveal.
I hope the surprise is another 1st party game announcement. I would also like more of Halo Infinite's tech to be shown.
Halo is an arena shooter, it doesn't need loadouts, heroes in mp or battle royale.
